Silmarilliane Posted July 25, 2014 Report Share Posted July 25, 2014 Greetings. I am Silmarilliane and I’m a nerd. I completed my Level 1 challenge with an A- and levelled up. I have decided to join the adventurers as it sounds the most relevant to me, and adventuring sounds fun I'll be starting this on Monday 28th July. My main quest is the same as my Level 1 quest, as it is still relevant:To be less flabby in general and fit better into a UK size 12 (currently buy stretchy size 12!)I’ve managed to lose a few inches and a few pounds during level 1 and want to keep going on it. My Goals for Level 2:· Complete this total body training with only dumbbells three times per week· Do a press-up challenge – start at 9 on day one and increase by one each day to 50 on the last day· Do cardio/HIIT at least twice per week, which includes a Zumba class I go to As well as that I’ll be tracking calories as I normally do (currently 1400 per day, but may increase it slightly with the added weight training). I have a couple of things like weddings and a hen do during this six weeks, so will allow myself three days within the 6 weeks that I am allowed to go over calories. My nerdiness and general interests include: Star Trek (particularly Voyager), Buffy, LOTR, Sherlock Holmes, Board Games, RP Computer Games, Poi, Am-drams and crochet. I wouldn't worry about having two rest days, especially since you're strength training--your body will need recovery periods to build muscle. For each 'session' I miss I'll drop down to an A-, then B+, B, B- etc. I'm not planning on missing any though so I have to mark them all in my diary in advance to remind myself The mini challenges look good - I've followed. I'm already doing a pushup challenge as part of my 6 week challenge, but I'll look in on next week's one thanks! I've been to a few different classes and it really depends on the teacher. One guy was amazing, really pushed you, and one woman was all 'hairography' and staring at herself in the mirrors!The one I go to now is quite a social one and maybe leaning more towards dancersize with Zumba elements. I was doing my 11 for the day (with DOMS from Monday) and had a brief moment of doubt that I'll actually be able to get near to my 50 in a row...That kinda thinking can be dangerous and lead to 'might as well give up now' thoughts. I'm doing this three times per week, the first day will be 3 sets of 8 reps of each. The second day will be 3 sets of 10 and the third 3 sets of 12. This may be reduced to 6,8,10 at week three for the lighter exercises, and week five of the heavier ones just because of the big jump in weight (silly dumbbells) - I'll attempt 8 on the first day of them anyway Edit - silly table disappeared, will try to add as pic (apologies for tiny size!) I'll have to keep up my water challenge anyway so that should help any possible hangover on Sunday!
