The Laziness Boss has been running my life for the last year and I'm sick of it. This challenge I will dedicate my time to battling it out and defeating my laziness boss one step at a time. How will I defeat this boss you ask?Mission 1 - Stay off the couch!!!This is a big one for me. I sit all day at work, so why should I just plop down on the couch when I get home? I can't possible be that tired. For this mission, everyday I work, I will come home and do something active for 30 mins. That can be anything from doing a workout, taking the dog on a walk, doing laundry, cleaning or straightening up.Track : M-F (5 days)Grading :24 - 30 : A18 - 23 : B12 - 17 : C6 - 11 : D0 - 5 : F(A - 5 STA : B - 3 STA : C none)Mission 2 - Weekend Action PlanIf I don't have anything planned for the weekend, something that is going to get me out of the house, I can stay in my PJs all day and do nothing productive. I might read a book, play a video game or watch Netflix but nothing productive gets done without a plan to get out of the house. This is a big issue when it comes to grocery shopping. If I'm lazy and push going to the grocery store until Monday, I usually push it to Tuesday and so forth because I'm too "tired" after work. This leads me to getting fast food or take out which is not helping. I tried it out last week and my place was a lot more organized and I felt better after doing it. Omg I totally understand. Especially the staying in my pjs all weekend with no plans! I have to force myself to get out. I will be dropping by to say hi! PJs on the weekends are the worst! I mean it feels wonderful to be comfy all weekend and stay home and be a couch potato but I've noticed that I feel like crud on Mondays. A friend on mine suggested that I get dressed like I'm going some where, even if I'm not going. One less excuse to use. I love your goals Jonesy, good luck with everything! Thank you! Pulled up to the gym and all the lights were off and the phone was not connected. Thought my gym had closed and was super pissed. I only had enough time for a morning workout so I just went home. I called the gym again at 6am, thinking that maybe they had new hours. Turns out the mall janitor turned off their power but they were still open. Uugh today started off not so well. Next time I'm getting my butt in the gym. I didn't have much time for working out tonight but I did get in some. 8 incline push ups, 20 calf raises, 20's plank and 5 double leg lift. Tonight I got home and spent 30 mins cleaning the kitchen counters, washing dishes, loading and starting the dishwasher, separating bridal shower left over to return and to keep, cleaned the floor where the dog decided to pee and made lunches for the week. Boo start to the day but good end! Yeah I've had shin splint problems off and on pretty much my whole life, I just need to take is slow. Starting is good. Even starting slow. I need to do a better job of remembering this. My problem is that 15 mins seems very weaksauce to me and I feel like time is wasted if it takes me more time to drive to my gym than it does for an actual workout. I think next time I will get there a little earlier and do some body weight workouts to help. Yesterday I managed to get in my morning workout and took a 10 min walk at lunch. When I got home I stayed up and running around for 30 mins! I didn't get as much done as I thought I would but that was because I spend 15 mins looking for an item I'm giving to a friend to help with her tendinitis. 30 mins : Unloaded and put away clean dishes from the dishwasher, cleaned off coffee table, took the dog out side and played a little and searched for a hot/cold bag for a friend. Today I will be going to bed once I get home. I'm going to a book signing for one of my favorite authors in Seattle, so I'm going to be home late. So Thursday, I cleaned the entry way after work and did 8 incline push ups then I got 70% of the way done with a book I started yesterday. I also made a tentative plan for the weekend. I'm thinking I'm going to need to plan at least 1 trip outside the house to make sure I'm not a complete lazy ass the whole weekend!
