PhD is based off Chad Waterbury's PLP volume accessory plan. Pullups, hanging leg raises and dips subbed in for pullups, lunges and pushups. And I'm making a crazy attempt at 180 days vs 60.

Day 16 of the PhD is over and done with. I almost forgot, but then I suddenly remembered and went off to do it. It was a close call. Tomorrow was almost day 11...

I've been feeling off this week. Not like sick off, but mentally off. I didn't even enjoy that bench PR. Which one? The one i didn't identify cause I'll smash it again next week. Like i did this week. And last week. Oh, and pretty much every workout. For almost a month. Is PR burnout possible?

I think the real issue is that I'm super close to accomplishing my first set of main goals that I set when I first started this whole thing.

I weighed 179.4 this morning. 180 was the goal.

I can bench~200, squat ~370, and dead lift ~400. My goals were 225, 315, 405.

I need some time to think things through and figure out where to go from here.

Woo! Another workout! Before we get into the details this time, I'd like to talk a little about motivation. Cause I've had none these last few days. I almost didn't make it into the gym cause I couldn't be bothered.

So I bought some heavily caffeinated pre workout and had the best lifting session I've had in over a week. I blew this one out of the park. I didn't set a PR today (one or multiple rep max), I just pulled some moderately heavy triples and it was awesome.

Moral of the story? Even if you don't feel like doing something, do it anyway...

Anyway. I'm a fuckup and didn't post my last two workouts. I did them, but now I don't remember what they were... lol

I went to Toronto Fan Expo this past weekend. It was some good fun. I saw a Matt Smith q & a, one with Arthur Darvill and another with Stephen Amell.

I did some shopping, though. Once I get some pictures took, I'll post them here :)

Rob__, I especially like how you mentioned that you're 25 pounds shy of your original 1RM goal on bench, 15 pounds shy on DL and less than a pound away on BW with a pretty good BF level...

 

...and you sort of casually snuck in there, 'Oh, btw, I'm 55 pounds ahead on dat dere squat.' :D

 

Excellent job! Now if your other device(s) will play nice for long enough to allow Susan__ to return to chat sometime, you'll really be in business. :)

I think i only did singles anyway. Maybe the 122.5 was a triple too. Oh well.

There was no second squat day last week.

This week is going to be a little different. I've got a ruck on Friday and I'm driving into Chicago on Thursday.

Monday: Squat and Bench

Tuesday: Dead Lift and OHP

Wednesday: mobility, foam roll.

I'm basically just going to work up to some heavy singles, and then do a back off 8. Get some strength work in, rep out to catch a little volume, and let the ruck precovery begin! This was technically a deload week anyway...

I've been floating around 183 in the morning and I've been floating around 187 at night. According to my calculations, we're on like week... 12? 13? since I started my bulk, and we're up about 15lbs since it started. I was at 168ish, if memory serves, which was still 10lbs less than before getting sick/work weight loss happened. I'm now +5 from there. This is probably where the abs are going to start to vanish again. They're already getting fuzzy when I don't flex them...
