Beaucastle
This whole challenge is new stuff for me. I'm branching out of the tai chi and doing active combat stuff. Learning so many new things in the last 2 weeks. I have upped my dojo time from 4 hours a week (2 hours 2 days a week) to 12 hours a week (3 hours 4 days a week). This effectively nuked my C25K program, but I have over heated 2 weeks in a row so I'm stepping back on the running. Spending so much time at the dojo added to the time I need for my coursework. I don't have time for anything else in my world right now. 4 Link to comment

Laureleye
It my younger days I decorated cakes at Baskin-Robbins. It was a lot of fun, even if the pay was rotten. Sloth the Enduring
I did a bike race last might. The guy who won was the son of someone I raced with back in the day. When I worked in a bike shop I used to call the annoying customers ma'am so they'd leave me alone. 4 “We might as well start where we are, use what we have and do what we can." – Caitlin Rivers Sloth: The Man with the Hammer battle log Link to comment
cline
ma'am doesn't bother me b/c in many cultures, it's just how people were raised. Everyone over 20 gets ma'am'd. "hon" and "honey" don't bother me either. There are a couple of guys 47-50 at my MMA gym who call me "honey" "hon" "doll"... they are from long lines of Italian Americans and here it's just a term of endearment. They really don't mean much by it. It's kind of sweet. They call all the guys "brother" or "pal". Meh. But young lady? GAH! 5 I AM going the distance 'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance. Sloth the Enduring
Nope! I turn 45 on Thursday. Welcome and I'd *love* to get the details of your sledgehammer routine.Hey Sharong, sorry I didn't see this earlier. It boils down to swinging a sledgehammer for 20 minutes or so plus some goblet squats and KB swings. I learned about it at www.shovelglove.com. If you check out their forum, I'm slothlike there too, you can see all the details of my progress. It's really a fun way to work out. 4 “We might as well start where we are, use what we have and do what we can." – Caitlin Rivers Sloth: The Man with the Hammer battle log Link to comment

ShadowLion
Hi! Just checking in and wanted to post this... 4 All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible. ~T.
