Real quick update here. The no snooze goal is a bit rough on me some mornings and other ones, it's pretty easy. Got the food porn in. ^_^ Missed the hooping goal but I didn't feel good this weekend so I'm not too upset with myself.

So on Saturday, the husband and I went to go see his mom and have dinner with her. Well, we ate at one of the country clubs that is a part of her retirement community. I think the food there did not agree with me because my stomach wasn't settled since. I've had headaches and stomach pains since that night soo...yeah. Been groggy with a headache for most of today. Hoping this goes away soon.

Alright week 5 and a bad start to week 6. Been lame on the updates and hooping already. >.<

I wasn't feeling super at the beginning of this week either, so I totally did nothing but crash when I got home from work yesterday.

 

And now that I did that I'm ready to kick this day in the face.

 

Take the time you need. Don't stress yourself out by forcing your body to do things that it does not want to do. Regroup and be awesome for the rest of the week :)

Sorry, haven't yet mastered the quote feature on tapatalk but I wanted to say thanks for the love. I needed it this past week. For me it seems week 4 of the 6 week challenges are the equivalent of hump day, just really hard to get motivated but your quick check in helped keep me on track. [emoji3]

So I'm starting this update with a mini rant about men. And I think I am qualified to do so because I live with 4 of them. You can skip to my update below the cut. :)

Why is it that men can't clean up after themselves? Like really? I walked into my bathroom just now and noticed the bottom of the tub/shower was covered in dirt. Whoever took a shower couldn't clean it afterwards? So then it becomes mine issue because I don't like messes. Now, we are having an issue with our drain not draining. But still! Even before we had this draining issue, no one cleans the bathroom besides me. 4 people plus guests use this bathroom! Ugh...I can't wait until I am able to live in my own house. At least then it will just be the husband's mess that I'll have to clean up.

Okay. That's done. ^_^

Week 6, Day 2: Still wasn't feeling the greatest, as I'm sure you could see from my post yesterday. However, I did get my hooping done last night. Knowing that I'll have to update here and say that I didn't hoop helped me to hoop briefly. Also because my roommate's friend was over and she was hooping in my living room. ^_^ So I figured I had to do a little bit. Here's my daily update. I rested most of yesterday evening and read quite a bit. No food porn. But hey, I'm still kicking it. :)

Week 6, Day 3: I'm in this "beginning of the month" funk. Reason being that I'm changing up how I'm paying off my debt. Well the husband and I's debt. So I'm a bit stressed and worried about it. Everything should work itself out and be fine but I tend to be a worry wart. ^_^

Anyways, did not wake up with the alarm. I did get my hooping in, barely. I'm beginning to think I just can't waist hoop. I've been trying for weeks now and still haven't gotten much better at it. Hooping must not be in my future. Like I enjoy the art and do want to get better but I've made little progress and there's quite a few people of this forum that have picked it up quicker than I. :/
Could have done food porn but it was Ropa Vejia (basically just shredded beef with sliced pepers and onions) and it doesn't photo well. Oh wells.

Challenge is almost done and I have np idea what I want to do for the next one.

Week 6, Day 4: Hooped a bit this morning. Hooped again just now. Still needs work. Got up with the alarm. Read some of my book. Got food porn and hula hoop photos. ^_^

Dinner was chicken with roasted fingerling potatoes, roasted cauliflower and sauteed zucchini.

I did alright for updating daily. Besides this last week. Holiday weekend got me lost and I could make an update for yesterday to get 4 updates instead of 3. However, I feel as though I should have thought about my daily update before my challenge update. And anyways, I would still get a B. ^_^  Goal 1: B (1.5 CHA & 1.5 WIS)

 

The hooping goal was a bit challenging in the sense that I haven't mastered the skill of waist hooping. I need to come up with a body coordination goal of some sort. Will look into this for the next challenge. Goal 2: A (2 STA & 1.5 DEX)

 

I like the concept of Non-Zero days. However, I think I need to have a list of things that would count as a non-zero thing. I didn't really have a clear idea of this. Reading became my default, which is alright I guess. More effort should have been put into this. Goal 3: A (2 WIS & 1 CON)

 

I did well with the food porn. I shared 9 photos. Didn't have a max/limit of how many I needed to take but I feel like I did well with what I did post. So full points here. ^_^Diet Quest: A (2 CON)

 

Not using the snooze button was pretty hard. Some mornings I was able to hoop, other mornings it was a struggle to just get out of bed. I think I will be keeping this goal for the next challenge, with a huge focus on Saturday mornings. I never set up points for this one sooo I think 1 point to WIS is in order. Didn't do the greatest but I did learn of some things I can do on Saturday mornings (video games, Sailor Moon Crystal) as well as hula hoop while I'm waiting for the coffee to finish brewing. Life Quest: C (1 WIS)

 

Will definitely need to spend some time coming up with the next challenge. This one was just thrown together and it worked out alright. It did help me stick to some goals so I'm ready for the next challenge. Have to come up with a more advanced one next time.

I had that problem last challenge, which is why I tightened it up for this one. You'll get it. :)

My roommates can hoop, mostly just a bit of waist hooping, and they've given me a few tips. Mainly said that I should turn in small circles as I waist hooping. It makes a bit dizzy though.

One of my roommates' goes to a local bar and there's a hoop gathering Wednesday nights. It starts around 10pm so I haven't ventured over there yet.

Other than that, I haven't really looked for hooping groups. Most go to drum circles around here and other EDM events/shows.
