Decided to start my Epic Quest log. I've included some things I have already completed because they were big goals for me. :)

 

So far on my dream list I have:

 

Fitness Related Goals:

  • Learn to Swim

Weight related goals:

  • Reach weight of less than 300 lbs
  • Reach weight of less than 275 lbs
  • Reach weight of less than 250 lbs
  • Reach weight of less than 225 lbs
  • Reach weight of less than 200 lbs
  • Reach weight of less than 180 lbs - This is what I used to lie and say my weight was, want to be able to say it honestly.
  • Reach 'healthy' weight - for me somewhere between 140-160.
  • Maintain a healthy weight for 1 month
  • Maintain healthy weight for 3 months
  • Maintain healthy weight for 6 months
  • Maintain healthy weight for 1 year

Knowledge Related Goals:

  • Earn a Bachelors Degree
  • Earn my M.A. in History
  • Earn my MLIS - I graduated August 5, 2016.
  • Earn a PhD
  • Read 100 books a year. (recorded on good reads): Goal reached for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016... 
  • Learn a second language - I have the Rossetta Stone package for German, but don't work on it often.
  • Learn a third language - I took Spanish lessons in high-school, but don't really know it well, want to work on this.
  • Learn a fourth language - Latin - I want to learn it, never tried.
  • Have a paper published in a scholarly journal (co-author)
  • Have a paper published in a scholarly journal (solo author)
  • Present at a Conference
  • Present Online

Travel Related Goals:

  • Visit at least three countries: so far - Mexico; 
  • Go on a camping trip in a tent
  • Go on a camping trip in camper
  • Take a road trip
  • Visit Disney World Went to Disney World in Feb 2016 with my boyfriend and his kids, he proposed while we were there. :)
  • Visit Harry Potter World We went to Universal as part of our Honeymoon. Sadly I wasn't Impressed.
  • Visit Lego Land
  • Go on a cruise
  • Watch the Anaheim Ducks play a home game (saw them play at Dallas once, but I want to go to a home game)

Life Goals

  • Throw a party - something I've never done, as I'm an introvert. I threw my party, and it was awesome, I then ended up throwing several others and they were awesome too.  Seems the reason I disliked parties for so long was because it wasn't my friends there.
  • Date - for the longest time I didn't feel anyone would ever want to date me, and I didn't even think of adding relationship goals here, but now I'm dating an awesome guy. :)
  • Get Engaged He proposed at Disney World in Feb 2016.
  • Get Married I am now a married woman. September 18, 2016
  • Pay off car loan
  • Pay off credit cards
  • Pay off Student Loans
  • Save $1,000 for a rainy day
  • Buy a house - Yes, I now own my own place. 
  • Retire
  • Like 3

Managed to cross off several of my goals this week! I need to think of some more to add! Also, my first Triathlon is just around the corner.  It's the Girl Power Triathlon in New Orleans on Sept 28th.  It is a very short one, 300 meter swim, 10 mile bike, 2 mile run, but I'm kind of nervous about it.  I've also got my eye on a second slightly longer Tri in October that I'm thinking of signing up for. :)

Set myself a list of 15 things for 2015, figured I'll add them here and check them off as I do them.

 

  1. Go as far as I can in the New Orleans Half Ironman.
  2. Complete a marathon
  3. Start learning a new language
  4. Read 100 books
  5. Visit Disney World, Lego Land, Harry Potter World, or go to a Duck Hockey game at the home arena.
  6. Get weight to 200.
  7. Put $1,000 away for a rainy day. - Did this, but then needed the money, so I have to start over.
  8. Go on a date. - Did this last weekend and then again this weekend.  Made myself an online dating profile and decided to give it a go.  Having fun with it. First guy was crazy, but the second guy was much more fun. Hope to see him again. :)
  9. Go camping
  10. Pay off a credit card - Did this, but then due to financial issues had to use the card again, so I have to start over.
  11. Start and finish a video game.
  12. Improve cooking skills.
  13. Throw a party. - Did this, and it was awesome. Hosted a Murder Mystery Dinner Party and planning to do another one soon.
  14. Blog - Honestly, this isn't likely to happen, so instead I will focus on keeping my posts up to date here.
  15. No soda except for special occasions.

Added several goals to the list.  Also, completed the video game goal for my 2015 list.  However, some of those goals clearly aren't going to happen.  Oh well. Maybe next year.

 

At this point my life is going fairly well.  I'm dating an awesome guy, who I could go on about for hours, but I'll save your ears.  He has two great kids that I love spending time with.  I bought a house. My house got broken into recently, but I'm not going to let it get me down. I'm less than a year away from graduation. My guy and I are taking his kids to Disney World next February, so that goal will come true then. :) Now I just need to get back on track with my fitness goals.

My boyfriend (now fiance) proposed while we were at Disney World in February. He knows how much I love Donald Duck, so when we met Donald in Disney World he proposed to me then. It was awesome. :D We're now planning our wedding for September and plan to go back to Disney for our Honeymoon. I'm now trying to get back on track with fitness and making healthy decisions. I've been stressed out lately due to work/class and things haven't been going to well. Luckily I'll graduate in August (Commencement is Friday August 5th) and things should get a whole lot better.
