keep it up girl, my mom was alone with two young daughters and in retrospect I wish she would have spent more time on HER and teaching us how to be strong and healthy, she kicked ass but it was always about us and never about her.  Your girls will be so proud of their momma when they know all that you did for them (including keeping yourself healthy). I can't imagine it is easy but you can do it.  You have a solid plan and lots of friends here to help you out!

Aw thank you - it is great to hear someone tell it from the child's point of view. My parents broke up when I was 4, but I lived with my dad until I was 12 and he was a great influence - growing fresh fruit and vegetables, jogging daily, an army reserve, and doing strength training. Then when I was 13 I moved to live with my mum - and really she is not a very good influence. She has never exercised, her diet is appalling and she drinks and smokes. It is one of my goals to turn out exactly like my dad and to steer away from my mum's path.

Whoops - forgot to do my logging last night! A pretty uneventful day - but a good one! Tuesday's are the day when I have 6 hours to myself - the big girl is at school and the little one goes to childcare. So I got to buy some stuff - light globes, broom and BBQ cover (so exciting I know), then home to do the washing, then vacuuming, then got some exercise in, a quick shower and then off to pick up the girls again! Busy, busy!


 


I decided yesterday that I am going to change my weigh-in day to Sunday so that I can work out my meal plan and shopping list based on my caloric needs, then Monday I can go do the shopping and the new meal plan can begin. Just makes things a bit easier in my mind. 


 


Workout


30 minute MMA workout video (I was still feeling sniffly and tight-chested so didn't think a run was the best idea)


 


Nutrition


Breakfast: 250ml skim milk, vanilla whey protein, 115g blueberries, 1tsp coconut oil


Lunch: Salad - 120g chicken breast, 50g cottage cheese, 35g avocado, 2 ryvitas, red cabbage, cucumber, capsicum and tomatoes, and a tub of peaches


Snack: 250ml skim milk, vanilla whey protein


Dinner: 120g chicken breast, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, cashews and roast sweet potato

I know - and my first thought is yes now I can buy light globes and do the vacuum cleaning :tongue:

Well vacuuming is a good push pull exercise. Just set the vacuum to low floors for extra resistance... unless that will damage your carpet.

Now I have the mental image of you beating someone with a vacuum cleaner. 

 

Hahaha - I do have some anger management issues. I told my ex boyfriend that if he ever hurt my children I would bash him in the head with my massive wooden rolling pin. Good times.

I have a Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner. It doesn't help me burn any extra calories but it's wonderful for cleaning up after my two very furry dogs (sometimes I just vacuum them directly...hey, it's called an Animal vacuum!). 

 

You'd think lifting bodies would be a great workout, but so many mobsters are overweight! ;-)

I have no money :-( - so my crappy vacuum cleaner will have to do for now.

 

Be careful though, I was a single dad with 4, now we have 7.

Man I forgot to do my logging again last night - seriously! It was probably due to the fact we are all sick. I'm just a little bit sick, but the 3yo has an ear infection and is on antibiotics and the 5yo has bronchitis and is on antibiotics too. So much sickness going around - it completely sucks. I stall managed to do my work out yesterday though - I just waited until they were both comfy on the couch with a movie and then I got stuck into it. Both are home with me today again (sick), so I think I am going to skip my Muay Thai DVD and do some Wii dancing instead so that I can keep them happy and still get some exercise in.

BWW B (Body Weight Workout B )


2 x 10 squats


2 x 20 seconds plank


2 x 6 push ups


3 x 8 step ups


3 x 8 chin ups (lowering part only)


3 x 8 split squats


3 x 8 close grip push ups


3 x 20 bicycle crunches


3 x 8 one leg hip extensions


 


Nutrition

Lunch: 120g poached chicken, 50g light cottage cheese, 50g avocado, cucumber, tomato, capsicum, corn and spinach


Snack: Two boiled eggs (one yolk only) and a banana


Dinner: Steamed salmon, roast sweet potato, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and 15g cashews
