30 Day Yoga Challenge

I've been interested in doing doyouyoga's 30 day yoga challenge http://www.doyouyoga.com/challenge/ for a while.I've seen it linked to a few times in recent topics. I've done a few videos at random and have enjoyed them, but just haven't gotten the moxie to attempt the whole 30 day challenge. Some of the videos seem pretty difficult, or at least more advanced than this yoga newbie can handle. But I'm thinking about doing it anyway, just doing my best at attempting a pose, or doing an alternate pose when something seems impossible/risky.

 

Two things...

 

 

Uno: Has anyone done the entire challenge? Critiques? Words of wisdom? 

 

Dos: Anyone up for the challenge? It'd be fun to tackle it with some compadres... share support and compare notes.

It's really good, and got me properly addicted to yoga. I did the videos all out of order based on what I wanted to do that day, but I have seen them all. I treated it more like 30 short classes, sometimes doing one or something doing 3.

 

Some of the videos might seem hard, but there's nothing wrong with sitting down and just watching the section :) She will also talk you through moves that progress up to the hard one - so she'll start with something simple, then offer something harder.

How long are the videos? I may be interested in tacking on some yoga to my daily escapades! :)

Also did Day 1 yesterday. Found is so pleasant that I found another random video on their website and did another quick session. :)

This looks like perhaps the greatest thing since Mexican Lasagne.

I'm in! I did Day 1 yesterday. My hips are really tight so she hooked me in with her area of focus for the first day. :)

 

I didn't realize how tight my hips were until I did day 1 yesterday!

 

 

 

When I do yoga my body is like "oh my god, thank you!" I hold a ton of tension in my body, so stretching out and strengthening feels amazing.

Day Two seemed more hip-y to me than I was anticipating with all the talk about shoulders and chests, but still *thumbs up*

Definitely was short, but oh man, doing that AFTER my workout that already had a lot of core work was no bueno. Hahah.

Just singed up on it.  A little apprehensive about it since I swelled up last time I was in yoga class.

We will see how this goes for me.  Did the first session tonight, but I hope I can do the second one in the morning when I get up.

I got through about 4 minutes of day 4. My muscles were not having any more than that! So painful. Think I'll just pick up with day 5 tomorrow.
