Gobnait
Are there any good games for the phone that encourage walking around? One of the criteria is that I don't want to be looking at my phone constantly, but rather glance at the screen when I hit intersections. Also it can't be one where I would have to do anything strange to win like walking into the middle of the street. Quote I have conditions that affect my social awareness. Gobnait
The Walk, by the same people who do Zombies Run. That one has really poor reviews, but I am reminded that I bought zombies run before I fell in the ditch. Quote I have conditions that affect my social awareness. Anno
I've heard some very good things about Ingress. I know a guy who's fallen in love with the game, but I can't say I've actually played it, myself. Dilnad
I have seen some of these while geocaching and wondered what they were for. Looks fun!I've done it for a couple years. I'm not a big fan of digging in spider infested trees for caches. This gives me the same thing in a more urban setting. You can do it totally free if you want but I buy their vinyl barcode stickers for 5 bucks a sheet of 20. They hold up to the winter quite well. Better than my homemade ones. It uses your smart phones GPS to verify you are in the geographic area of the Munzees listed location to prevent cheating. Scanning an online code will fail unless it's a special virtual Munzee on their site or Facebook page. Quote Hey. I've got a blog!! ----> The Dilnad Can! This is how I did it. Gobnait
I'll have to try Munzee. I'm sure that people around are used to the scanners, so I won't look weird. On another note, I twisted my right ankle bad enough that I can't really walk around my own house well, and the limping has made the plantar fasciatis in my left foot really painful. I won't be going anywhere for a little while. Quote I have conditions that affect my social awareness. TingTing90
Aw man, that sucks about your ankle, hope you're feeling better It can be great fun to play 'walking hide and seek'. Get a few friends and a set area to hide/chase in and go nuts! (I may be a big child). Especially good if you're competitive 1 Quote ||Level 2 || Human Ranger (in training)|||| STR 1 || DEX 1.2 || STA 1.2 || CON 3 || WIS 1.5 || CHA 1 ||Challenge #1 || #2Instagram Walk from Bag End to Bree before Christmas! 27%27% Link to comment
DireWolfCurse
I don't know if anyone cares, and it's not really a game exactly, but when I'm walking and get bored, I find a pine cone and kick that around. It sort of forces you to pick up speed sometimes to retrieve it. The pine cone never really goes exactly where you meant for it to go since it's an odd shape, so you have to zigzag around a lot. It's kind of fun, and if you have kids around, it keeps them from whining. 2 Quote DireWolfCurse Don't think about it, just DO it. My Challenge Battle Log My Epic Quest Link to comment
Space_Elf
Ingress can be quite interesting. You collect points as you walk and you find portals at at various locations in your city. I sort of get hooked in when I play. I mean, I was only going to check out the unclaimed portal at the post office and then it's a hour later and I've walked all over the neighborhood claiming portals left and right... 1 Quote Space_Elf, Fallohide Hobbit Level 0.
