Atlanta area

Recommended Posts

i take it that the owner of nerd fitness is from atlanta (the address is right down the street from me). that being said, are there lots of folks on here from atlanta? would we want to do a weekly/monthly meetup (perhaps at piedmont park?). we could take turns leading bootcamps or just get together for a picnic or something :)

We've actually been talking about it here. Though, it appears most of us are poor planners of activities.. or something..

Also, Steve said he'd be in the area and to watch FB for a potential meet up... so... hopefully we can rally and meet up then :P

We had one when Steve was in town... that was in Sept, I think. But a new meet up is always possible..hopefully..

Welcome to the boards, btw!

As soon as the weather warms up, a bunch of people I know get together in Piedmont Park for Play in the Park. It's mostly folks doing acroyoga and playing with skill toys (hula hoops, poi, rope darts, etc.) I think it would be totally appropriate for the nerds to come play with the hippies. :)

I think there's only been one since I joined the boards... it was when Steve was in town. We ate delicious burgers and chatted for many hours. Good times.

I am for the next 45 minutes or so.. Connecting from Sao Paulo to Houston via Atlanta.. Come on over to Terminal B, gate 26 and maybe we can do some sprints in the hall or something... Pushups on the TSA booth. Squats in the XRay machine...or squat the xray machine....sorry up all night.

hey all,

some friends and i are getting together on april 14th in piedmont park for a picnic and play-day. it's an open invite and everyone is encouraged to bring friends...so i'm inviting my nerdfitness friends!

we will be grilling out, drinking margaritas, playing frisbee, and just generally having a chill saturday.

festivities start at about 1pm and we will likely be on the large field near the park tavern restaurant (across from the grady high school football field).

if you'd like to join us (and feel free to spread the invite), just send me a private message and i'll give you my phone number so we can meet up on the 14th. we are encouraging everyone to bring a dish or drink to share but you're certainly still welcome even if you dont.

hope you can make it!

I'm in Charlotte and try to get down to Atlanta with some regularity - I saw a flow toy comment up thread, too, so I'm wondering if we've got a SE burner on the board, also?

Yes, indeedy. :) Did you make it down for Euphoria? (or planning to come to Alchemy?)

W00t!

I missed Euphoria due to a festival commitment, but my Boy and I are discussing heading back to Alchemy this fall - haven't been since '10. We'll be at Transformus next month - you? *high five in fire*
