I was given the option of being in the "fast" or the "middle" group. I went with the middle as I didn't want to push my knee too much so soon after Saturday's long run. With a lot of "go to the back" and "push to the fronts" I managed 4.1 miles which I'm happy with. Its a pretty simple workout, you sprint a given route then do ~1 minute of strength/core work before sprinting the route again.... rinse and repeat till they tell you to stop. Though it turns more into a hard run rather than a sprint towards the end. Here's what that looks like via runkeeper. I did run a mile before camp too so yeah that was nice. Other updates ... my wife has been in California since Monday so I've been fending for myself - which I THINK I'm doing okay at, nothing at the house has burned, exploded or the like. We did a 3 circuit workout with each station having a slighting different theme. One was arms - so push ups, dips, etc. Another was legs - wall sits, squat thrusts, jump squats., etc. The last was jumping/fast feet - step ups, curb jumps, toe touches. We ran/sprinted between stations. Tough workout after my run yesterday but good to get out and exercise. Managed to do it in 1h4m55s which was a 9m23s pace.After that was brunch with friends followed by an hour long nap ... yay!We had a much overdue massage which was exactly what I needed to help with post run aches and soreness. I won Betrayal at the House on the Hill thanks to pure attrition. Next was the Bonanza which I lost by 2 or 3 gold. Last was Kill Doctor Lucky which my wife won. Still a good time overall! Strickland5 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Share Posted October 8, 2014 2014-10-06Travel day ... spent most of the day traveling/working ... no running or real workout to speak of thanks to a rather early flight and late night. 2014-10-07Managed 2.5 miles on the beach which was probably the hardest 2.5 miles I've run in a LONG time. Work today got me another 6 miles of walking ... ugh. Food wise I'm having to adapt to 3-meals a day vs my 3 meals w/ 2 snacks between. So my meals are bigger which is weird for me. My water intake has been junk as I forgot to grab my water bottle from home. I've got a 32oz Gatoraid bottle now which I'll be using. I still managed over 5 miles of walking today for work which is good as we went out to lunch and dinner at tasty seafood spots. We've another early day tomorrow but I'm hoping to get moving straight away and knock out a few miles, even though I walked a lot today and yesterday I'm still feeling lazy. It is strange mental thing I know, but it happens. I'm blaming it on the lack of workout endorphins.
