Fell asleep at 8:30 pm local time last night and woke up naturally at 8 am. BAM! Catspaw's "my fridge is totally empty" post-trip groceries this morning consisted of:Meats2 bags of frozen shrimp2 lbs ground bison1 lb sliced roast beef1 lb chicken breast4 cans wild salmonDozen eggsVeggiesBroccoliCauliflowerScallionsRed peppersYellow peppersRed onionsHearts of palmFrozen broccoliSweet potatoesMiscKombuchaKombu and bonito flakesFermented miso pasteKimchiCurry krautTeasThere. That should last me ... six seconds. My stomach is pretty used to eating ALL THE THINGS these days, though I'm starting "operation 6 week hard cut" this morning while my metabolism is just zingingly high from the 4000+ cals diet while I was traveling. Speaking of which, down a few pounds despite the 4000+ cals of food each day. catspaw Posted September 21, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 21, 2014 Sun, Sep 21st - Workout Log 4 sets of...1A) Close-grip pulldowns: 70 x 101B) Prisoner squats: 201C) Plank: 30 secs 4 sets of...2A) Front-squats: 75 x 6, 75 x 6, 85 x 6, 85 x 62B) Pushups: 5 3 sets of...3A) Snatch: 45 x 5, 55 x 5, 65 x 53B) Standing lateral raise in deep lunge: 8# x 6/leg3C) Lateral lunge w/ 1 arm db press: 12# x 10/leg Mostly a "let's see how my joints are doing" kind of workout. Knees are definitely a little weak -- I wouldn't've felt comfortable going heavier than 85 (55% 1RM) on front squat, and ankles were a little rusty compared to their usual excellent-flexibility but hips weren't too bad. I think I'll probably need to take it easy for a week or two but should be back to ass-kicking in no time. Better than any book, article, anything. Not just being complimentary here. Reading about someone I know going through that adventure is just so much more engaging than reading about someone I don't know in a book or even watching them on tv. Thank you.
