Congratulations on a great first day. I might copy your warm up.  I usually just do 5 minutes on a stationary bike, this will be a great change of pace and keep me from wanting to shoot myself.

 

It is a fun warm up - I like a bit of variation and this one has just the right amount. 

 

YEAH for a solid day 1!  Man, I woke up this morning and just didn't want to work out either... it was gray and gloomy out and maybe I'll just do it -after- work... I finally just stopped thinking about it and went and did it.  IT'S SO HARD!!!  But I felt so much better after!! :)

 

It is hard to work up the motivation sometimes, but then once you do it you are left wondering why you were being such a whingy poo in the first place. :P

Another successful day :)


 


I did my strength workout in the morning after I dropped the girls off at school and child care. It was nice to have some child-free exercise time - a lot easier to concentrate! I didn't end up having steak and salad for dinner tonight because my friend ended up being too busy to come over for dinner - so I just stuck to my standard meal plan instead - so food was a win too. And TV wise - it is going to be off again tonight and I'm going to be doing more halloween party stuff - cutting out cats and bats and pumpkins and ghosts - all the fun stuff - out of cardboard.

I did my strength workout in the morning after I dropped the girls off at school and child care. It was nice to have some child-free exercise time - a lot easier to concentrate! 

 

Gonna try that today with the bodyweight workout, twins are going grocery shopping with my wife and son will be in preschool.  I have an hour and a half to myself before work!

8/28/14 - Today I climbed a mountain.  A FREAKING MOUNTAIN.  Last year I would have had to stop, this year I made it up, next year I'm gonna OWN it.

-------Day Three Report--------

 

Last night my youngest was seriously coughing her lungs up - so I made the executive decision to get her in my bed and go to bed super early. So today I was feeling mega-energised after having 9 hours sleep. I had three Ikea bookcases delivered today, so a good portion of the day was spent putting those together and filling them up with my books/comics/toys (so much fun). Unfortunately miss three year old wasn't feeling very well still today so instead of doing my plyometrics workout I put on Just Dance on the wii and let her choose what songs I danced to. I went through 11 songs and there was a lot of jumping around - so I'm happy that I got a workout in and I kept her entertained. 

 

I was also supposed to go out for a function dinner tonight - but since the little one is still a bit unwell I decided to not go. So no function dinner for me - just the same plain old chicken, vegetables and natural peanut butter. 

 

And tonight I was sooooooo close to turning on the TV, but I stopped myself :) - so now back to the making of the Halloween party stuffs. Yay!

 

In conclusion, I freakin' rocked today!

Thanks gals - I'm not going to let myself make up excuses - if things don't go quite according to plan I will still work out a way to make it work - I'm not giving up and I'm not backing down!!!

-------Day Four Report--------

 

Quest 1: Failing to plan, means planning to fail

Yes and yes! I ate according to my meal plan except that I had rump steak instead of tuna in my salad for lunch today. I also did my scheduled strength workout. So everything is going according to plan bwahahahaha!

 

QUEST 2: Fit and strong for the journey ahead 

I my second strength workout for the week - and it was slightly eventful! First of all while doing my chin up training (lowering myself from the up position) I look over and less then a metre away is the biggest f%^k off spider I have seen in my life! Scared the living shit out of me, and after taking care of it I powered through the rest of the workout that had to be done in the shed thanks to that extra shot of adrenaline. 

 

I also discovered that I can't do dips on my pull up/leg raise/dip contraption. Basically I'm holding on my arms are straight they are taking all of my bodyweight and there is no way in hell I can lower that using my arms/chest alone. Yeah - I went from holding myself up to falling off every time I tried to dip. So looks like I'm going to be doing tricep dips on my weights bench instead. 

 

QUEST 3: Battle ready

Not today - I did do yoga (to help with strength and flexibility) on Monday though - so I've already achieved this goal for the week.

 

LIFE QUEST: Move towards the light 

No TV today either. Last night was pure frustration, spending 1.5 hours on a stupid little birthday cake banner and then getting so pissed off with it that I ended up throwing a tantie and absolutely demolishing it. Soooo tonight I'm hoping that my party creations will be a bit less annoying so I don't lose the plot again.

 

[side note: a good future quest for me might be controlling my anger, I get angry way too easily - not pleasant]
