YAYOG is interesting so far and there are lots of different modifications provided. I wanted a program that was already set out for me and fully bodyweight based. After the 10 weeks I may go again or try something else, I just want to find something that keeps my interest and keeps challenging me. :D

Lunges are hard because balance but the alternating roman deadlifts are WORSE. It gets better as you go tho, I started doing lunges with a chair as an assist and have moved up to no assistance.

 

 

Lunges are my kryptonite, I swear. THEY LOOK SO EASY! Ahh well. Good work on keeping it all up! Once you get every squat past parallel, THEN you'll be cooking with gas :D

 

I'm getting there on squats. I've started working on going deeper since I'm not having as much balance fail. My glutes aren't always quite strong enough tho and my calves and ankles aren't mobile enough. All the things to work on it's a good thing I'm not in a rush.

Week 1 Day 3:

 

Another successful day, this seems to be a trend which is awesome. I scheduled a massage for Saturday morning, thanks shaarawy. I also transferred money to my brother so he can send me mah stuff that's at his place and got my prescriptions refilled. The lameish dinner was b/c I put my chili together so that it can cook tonight. Managed to do quite a bit of walking since I walked home from the office and scored 12,204 steps for the day. I also racked up a new PB for walking a mile, I did it in 15:51 this morning!

 

YAYOG: Rest day

 

Food:
Breakfast: cottage cheese and peaches with coffee
Morning: n/a
Lunch: chicken w/ yam and green beans
Afternoon: carmel macchiato 
Dinner: apple w/ pb, handful of almonds

Calories: 2052, Carbs: 185, Protein: 125, Fat: 78

Flexibility: Going to do use my trusty foam roller before bed

Social: Made multiple posts of encouragement

 

Last thing, I've decided that I require a theme/power song for my challenge so here it is b/c I love me some Lacuna Coil! 

 

 

Maybe I'll post a new song each week.

I like the idea of posting a new song each week - it might help me find some more awesome music to listen to too :)

 

Well then I'll do it. I'll warn you I'm mostly into rock/hard rock type stuff but if you have any genre you prefer I can try and find something.

A bit of randomness, can someone tell me how I've already managed to rack up over 300 posts? I guess my whole "being social and making positive comments" thing is working. Maybe by the end of this challenge I'll stop thinking of myself as a complete and utter social failure. :D

How do you track you steps? Do you have an app on your phone? (But that would mean you have to carry your phone on you all day?!) Or do you have a separate step counter?

 

... Or do you count them yourself? ;)

How do you track you steps? Do you have an app on your phone? (But that would mean you have to carry your phone on you all day?!) Or do you have a separate step counter?

 

... Or do you count them yourself? ;)

 

I have the BASIS watch that does it and I have apps (Breeze and The Walk - from zombie run ppl) on my phone b/c I do carry it with me all the time. I have a technology problem and I admit it. There are other cheaper options. People say good things about the FitBit Flex which does almost everything my watch does for half the price.

Awesome to see another Lacuna Coil fan and that song is just so fitting for why we're all on this site. I'm working toward the social butterfly achievement, do I get extra points when I reach it? ;)
