Nikki222
Week 1 Summary! Quest 1: Work out planGrade: A I found that the high I have been getting from working out regularly has worked in my favor, I can't seem to wait to get to the gym.I have been struggling with the running portion though as my calves are being a total and utter bitches... I have consulted with professionals and they think it might be a hydration issue, as in I need to guzzle water just before I go running and continue doing so as I run... I will try it this week and see what happens Quest 2: Eating outGrade: C (boo!) Eating has always been tough for me and this week, Lunches were left at home, relatives wanted to treat us, it was tough, I made great choices at the restaurants, which has help in the result that I lost a pound last week, but still eating out too much... Quest 3: Complete 5km runningGrade: TBD With the struggle with the running, I am hoping to find a solution to my problem and get to the bottom of it before the end of the challenge. Overall Feelings: Feeling pretty good about week one, as it showed on the scale and I am started to see the result of the overall weight lose journey (before I started here). Motivation sometimes wavers, but having a solid support system here and psyching myself with Mountie talk has made it easy to get out of the slump. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN CHEERLEADING ME ON!!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!! Excited for week 2!! 4 Half Orc Ranger Lvl 3[ STR7.5 | DEX2 | STA6 | CON7.5 | WIS6.5 | CHA5 ]Goals:Achieve target weight: 175lbsStarting weight: 238Current Weight: 225 21%21% Current Challenge Link to comment

Teros
What I find most surprising is that I am still super motivated. I don't know about any of you, but whenever I set out a goal and day 1 starts and then I fall off the wagon (have some cookies, or such, or not hit the gym) and then I'm like, ok I'll start tomorrow instead, fresh start, and then continue to indulge that day... and we all know that tomorrow never comes... It hasn't been like that, every time I come on here and see that someone liked or commented or quoted my posts I'm like eeeeee XD XD XD gotta keep going! That's called the 'Perfect Monday Syndrome'. The basic premise is that if you mess up, you tell yourself you're going to get back on track and start kicking arse on monday. Monday is the start of the week and so everything will be 'fixed' by having a perfect monday. The problem is that there is no perfect monday so there will be another stumble and then....just wait. Everything will be fixed on monday! It's a very common thing. The best advice I can give is 'never 2 in a row'. If you missed a workout? Fine. But don't miss 2 in a row. Have an unhealthy snack you didn't plan for? Fine. But make sure your next meal is healthy. Motivation tends to be a slippery slope, so as long as you are committed to being committed, things will work out. I quoted you. Time to 'eeeeeeeeeeee XD' 4 Link to comment

I've found out that I love people. I feel like my entire life has changed. This place is the mantra: You get out what you put in. Prior to being on here, I considered myself an angry and secluded person. A lone wolf of sorts. I was beaten down by life for so long that all I wanted was to watch the world burn; but this community helped me find a sense of purpose and something that was sorely lacking in my life: love and acceptance. I can't fully repay what this place and these people have done for me (I've lost 60+ pounds so far and there are people that are willing to fly across the country to hang out with me in November.) What I can do though is try to pay it forward. Also, when you say 'overwhelming', here's what I've done this past week on here: -I wrote the adventurer mini-I read and greeted all 100 adventurers to make sure they feel welcome-I answered roughly 12 PMs-I wrote the RPG storyline for an accountability group that I run-I checked out a bunch of level 1s to see how they're doing (hi!)-I responded to the level 1 accountability group that I run ...and I'm ready for week 2. 5 Link to comment
