Sooo how did week 1 go?

 

Week 1 was pretty awesome actually. I had a few really really good things happen--

1. I started a new exercise class 

2. I had a breakthrough with my yoga practice and did 2 practices in a row. 

3. I got to practice my Spanglish a bit more (I really really need to make this a challenge goal soon)

88% success this week, but honestly, week one was perfect - I had a truly restful vacation where I got to do exactly what I wanted (including checking "get a tattoo" off my bucket list). I think i'll sit by the fire this evening making mini s'mores for everyone who wants 1 or 5, as well as brewing some truly spectacular tea with hints of cocoa and cinnamon in it :)

Umm... *fidgets* Week 1 was non-existent, because I'm late as usual! But I'll most definitely make up for it over the next 5. :D

Sooo how did week 1 go?

 

Fell off the wagon already. Mostly. It's like I'm out of mana/spirit/spell points in RL.

 

I've done okay at eating more vegetables and less peanut butter and maple syrup, though. And I have not had a single chocolate chip. The only downside is that some home-made nutella has entered the fridge and, well...yeah lol.

 

I'll be out of town for the next few days and probably won't do anything challenge-related. I may end up just doing a 4-week challenge with different goals. Probably things for motivation, because right now I can't even bring myself to update my own thread...or do anything else for that matter.

I thought about a mini-quest of establishing a skin care/before bed routine and came to the idea that this would make a nice minichallenge perhaps.

 

I like the idea as this integrates nicely with my 5 beauty minutes ;). So I'm usually not doing anything for my skin except plucking hair.

 

I think I forgot to register for this challenge. But what effect does this have anyway?

Idealistinfire starts prepping a hearty veggie/meat breakfast skillet while brewing a Mana-renewing tea for Naxius and a general Motivation And Willpower Renewer Tea medley for the group.

 

Sounds like a rough week 1 for most folks. Anyone know a spell for reenergizing and refocusing? I'd partake, if you tell me what to do :)

 

Also, my trusty sidekick Bree-the-Dog says "there was a last week???", which might mean "Don't dwell on last week, look for squirrels good moments in the next one!"

Hello! I'm a level 1 adventurer. This six weeks, I'm going kind of ranger-y, but philosophically/culinarily, I think I'm a druid. I love to be outside, and love cooking vegetarian and pescetarian food. I'm getting back to regular yoga practice as well!

I'm adventuring abroad, learning about life in Japan as well as my own limits. Best things: plentiful miso, beautiful wooded hills, and elderly men shouting "Gambatte!" T me

Lack of motivation is a difficult situation to master though, and you know your needs best. When I look back at what you've done these last challenges I wish I could just buy you a nice long vacation!

Registering lets us know how many of you there are so we don't have to do a manual count. After all we're nerds and we need to keep track of those things  :panda:

Breakfast, did anyone say breakfast?! Eve sits down at the huge wooden table in the big room and takes joy in seeing so many of her fellow druids. They look a bit raggedy but she knows that under the surface there are no stronger or more good hearted people in the world.

I think we need more wood for the fireplace.  I'll go out and split some of that felled tree.

Picks up splitting maul and goes to work, feeling stress leave his body as he works.
