I’ve been a little more lax diet-wise the last month or two, so that’s likely part of the change in rate of loss. I’ve also been skipping and making up workouts more than I like. Follow the damn schedule, chammy. >.>Loose goals: Lose 6cm from combined bust, underbust, waist, and hip measurements.Improve overall mobility/flexibility.Improve technique/form for Clean & Jerk, Snatch, and Overhead Squat. How to achieve goal:Eat like a chef: Cook nearly everything at home. Don't eat a lot of bread/pasta/beer.Train like a champ: Train 4-5x a week. Crossfit 2x+, Heavy lifting 2x+. Incorporate technique drills or full olympic lifts on heavy lifting days.Increase daily activities: Short rucks 2x+ a week. Mobility 5x+. Personal shit:Sleep like a person: Wake up before 9:00am on non-school days.Work like a machine: Stick to self-created work schedule. Things taken away from the session:- My "first pulls" are strong. I actually need to not rip the bar off the floor as much as I try to since the weight is lower (technique holds me back from higher numbers).- My "second pulls" are inconsistent. I have good hip strength, but I have issues holding the bar close and keeping everything tight and stable. My shoulders/arms tend to round forward/get loose as the bar passes my knees, and then struggle to re-activate when I'm supposed to try and get myself down and under the weight.- I have a hard time getting under the bar at turnover. The weights I'm currently pulling go very high (83lbs was at my eyeballs for the snatch). Almost everything is a power snatch/clean. This is mostly related to hip movement and lack general confidence to get into a non-power receiving position. Overall, coach said I have a pretty decent base to work with (this means my flexibility has definitely gotten better!). He took notes and is going to send me some more detailed observations, things for me to work on, and a general training guideline. He thinks drop/hang work will be beneficial, and pulling from blocks instead of the floor to work on second pulls. This should help me gradually become more comfortable getting under the bar as well. I also could benefit from more overhead/upper body strength. 100% worth booking the time. I'll probably hit him up again in 6-8 weeks and see how I'm progressing. I tend to end up working with him a couple times a week at crossfit since he teaches the Sunday strength class, and usually evening crossfit classes. 2 [Pixie | Warrior] Carjack: Muscles don't get confused.
