Was out for a meal last night. A three course dinner; I had a small prawn salad, steak with potatoes and veg then fruit sorbet. Pretty good I think. Plus no alcohol!

 

Back to good food for lunch today too, and went out for a walk tonight with my dad which was lovely :)

 

Going away for the weekend, walking in the Lake District with Rob :D so I'll be MIA till Monday :)

Had my weekend away. I think all in all I didn't eat too badly. Full English breakfasts both Saturday and Sunday, though I made sure to extra veg on both and did not get toast. We didn't have lunch, and I made sure to get things with plenty of veg and meat for my tea. Also only had one glass of wine - go me!

 

We did a ton of walking...well wandering, however, we have decided that we want to take up proper walking/hiking. We live in (what I think is) one of the most beautiful places in the world, let alone England, and it takes us only two hours to get to the next most beautiful (being the North York Moors and Lake District respectively), and the best way to see either is getting on your boots and walking!

 

Hopefully weekend after next we can head out on our first mini hike, we've already got a semi plan, so we shall see :)

Week 1 Round Up

  • No skating - was Rob's bday so I was out for a meal
  • Make my own lunch every day - managed 4/5 days, got in late Wednesday and then just couldn't be bothered frankly.
  • Work out - did not achieve *sigh* however I had an entire weekend of walking which certainly feels like a workout on my legs. Plus I've been doing squats and lunges while at work.

Also, week 1 weigh in: 69.2kg (152.5lb)

 

Yay it's a loss...but only by like half a lb, which doesn't count. I'm not calling anything a loss until it's over 2lb, as your weight fluctuates by that throughout the day anyway.

Amazing practice tonight, which was just what I needed cause I properly couldn't be bothered this morning.

 

Weighed in today at 68.8kg (151.6lb) :D well chuffed!

 

Managed 24 laps in 5 minutes. My best so far! Hopefully I can push it on Sunday and get the 25 :D that would be awesome.

 

Having some issues with my orthotics. My feet slip in my skates - cause they're a bit shit - and I end up with my arch rubbing on the edge of the orthotic, so I now have a blister the size of a penny on my arch. Strange and painful. I'm emailing superfeet to see if they recommend any particular one of their insoles, as they're meant to be pretty good.

HOW did I miss your thread before??

Love the pic of you in your gear...I would seriously injure myself attempting anything like that now...haven't been on skates in, oh wow, yea...that long...

I hadn't been on skates for YEARs before doing this. I'd been on inlines, though no further than the end of my road, and my fiance had bought me a pair of quads for my 20th bday, but I hadn't really used them. Now I can weave on one foot, jump (tentatively) and enjoy the full contact side of derby too :D

 

I say this all the time, but you should totally check out of there's a team in your area (I can guarantee there is) and go support them some time :)

haha thanks, I was very happy! a little sweaty from reaction ball, but yeah :D

 

Awesome! I think I would be constantly paranoid about the violence of derby/skating and wearing glasses though. :tongue:

Yeah I do often wear disposable lenses when we play, but the new newbies started only 4 weeks ago, so we haven't moved on to contact again yet :)

Tonight I went to the gym!!

 

Did some incline walking, some sprints, more assisted pull ups (attempting to decrease the amount of assistance), chest press, squats, walking lunges and other fun things :D

 

Quite tired now!

Sunday skating session was pretty good. The girls in the B team have a game next week, and since I was the only one there today who hasn't passed through level 3 mins, we were focusing entirely on blocking. It was fun! I fell over twice xD hungry now mind.

Week 2 weigh in!

 

Basically, I weigh myself every day, at my lowest this week I was at 68.3, today I was at 69kg, which is the weight we're going with.

 

Ideally by now I should have lost up to 4lb. This obviously hasn't happened, therefore I am looking at some of the things I'm doing well and those I'm doing not so well, to see what can change.

 

Mostly it's my weekends. I've been out for tea or breakfast most nights/days and even when you think you're making a healthy choice, you're really not. I need to step up my weekend habits and try to get a bit better.

 

I also need to go to the gym more. I've managed to go once each week, and I did get skating on Sunday, which is a good thing, but I need to do better. I'd like to start swimming again, maybe I'll go tonight...maybe I'll convince my mam to come with me :)

In a shitty mood because I'm fighting with Rob, cause he decided to be petulant about me going to look at furniture with my mam (the furniture is for her, not me), and I have no inclination to pander to his ego today. Great.

 

Weekend is off to a good start though, as I've been to the gym, and the anger helped fuel me. Breakfast is cereal and orange juice because I can't be bothered making porridge. Trying to be better this weekend, though it's our mates bday and we were supposed to be out for tea, but god knows what's happening now.

Definitely had a much better weekend food and activity wise. Had a chip butty yesterday for my lunch but then only had a salad for tea. We also went a massive walk along the sea front yesterday too which was lovely.

 

Today I went skating and had a sunday dinner. Slow cooked beef with a ton of veg! Zero added salt, so yay :)

 

Weigh in tomorrow - fingers crossed I'll see a difference.

Weigh in this morning: 68.3kg (150lb) BMI = 25. That's a loss of 3lb so far :)

 

I'm a bit sick atm, so I don't know if I'll be getting to the gym this week, though I am going to try. I really want to get ice skating soon though, so hopefully that'll be good and calorie burning :D

Weigh in this morning; 68kg (149.9lb) :D

 

Pretty happy with that. I didn't make it to the gym this week. The plan was to go Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but my foot ended up in a bit of a mess of blisters on Wednesday from skating and it hurt to just walk, let alone try to run or squat or whatever. So I did not go *sigh* Hopefully I can make up for it this week, as I can't skate until my foot is fully healed.

 

Have changed up my eating habits though - obviously - and am just generally being more conscientious about what goes in my mouth. It's made a difference :)

 

I've now lost 1.6kg = 3.5lb. Hopefully I can push that up to 5lb before the end of this challenge :)

Hit the gym last night with Rob decided to follow him round the big weights room, it was awesome! I lifted way more than I ever have before.

Did: 3 x 8 30kg bench press

3 x 8 18kg goblet squat

3 x 8 10kg walking lunge

3 x 8 10kg row

3 x 5 8kg shoulder press

3 x 8 15kg side bends

3 x 5 assisted pull ups (set at 40kg I weight 68kg)

Pretty chuffed with myself and I'm looking forward to going again and getting better!!

Weighed in yesterday at 67.7kg! First time I've been below 68 in months! Pretty chuffed, just hope the pizza I had last night won't have spoiled it xD.
