If I Act like I'm Doing it Right, Maybe I'll be Doing it Right...

 

....Challenge.

 

 

 

I've been lazy with zero motivation lately; as you can see by my absence on the forums. :/

 

This very late challenge is solely to pull my head out of my ass so maybe it'll come back and I won't die alone and miserable.

 

...Maybe.

1. Eating

 

I need to get back out of my renewed obsessively-addicted-to-sugar

Fiiiiine. I'll do a junk food/sugar descending pyramid.

 

Each week, I'm going to allow myself a number of "treats" per day, which will slowly decrease each week until I ween myself off the teats of obesity.

 

What's left of Week 2: 3,3,2,1

Week 3: 3,3,2,2,2,1,1

Week 4: 3,2,2,2,1,1,1

Week 5: 2,2,2,1,1,1,1

Week 6: 2,1,1,1,1,1,1

 

These number represents ONE piece/serving of candy, beer/wine, junk food, etc. It's nothing fancy, but I have zero cares right now and this is just a design to help me get used to caring about what I eat again without feeling like I'm depriving myself or the anxiety that comes with it.

 

 

Hopefully by the end I can look at sugar and junk food and be like: No thanks.

2. Read

 

Maybe if I READ about health and fitness, I'll be more inclined to take it up again.

Sooooooooo, I just was very generously lent the book The 4-Hour Body and I intend to read this to help re-motivate me with my diet/exercise. Though I pretty much always do SOME sort of exercise, I always have the worst trouble in the dieting part so I think this book will really help me motivate myself to care again. Because seriously....stopped caring last challenge and the scale and my heart rate during workouts SHOWS it.

 

So Goals and such:

 

Take the rest of Week 2 to finish the 2nd GoT book. I only have ~ 250 pages left, but I have to work a lot this week which doesn't leave time for pleasure reading. So I have until Sunday to complete Book 2.

 

After that, Goal is to read 1 SECTION per week of 4 hour body. There are about 3-4 chapters per section. I'll give and take from this as I see fit (some parts have no relevance for me) but the goal is for a solid number to help with motivate via simplicity.

3. Activity

 

Being a workout-a-holic, I have never been TERRIBLE in this category, but I have definitely been lacking motivation with no specific goals in my near future.

Siiiiiigh. Ok, I'll make a few:

 

1. Fenway Spartan Sprint in November

2. Possible Half Marathon in Dec or Jan with a friend

 3. Get back to Monking

Each Week I'll do 4 "Things":

 

  • Spartan workout (including specific obstacles)
  • Long run (down to 4+ miles counting as long :/)
  • TaeKwon-Do training
  • Boxing workout
  • Rollerblading
  • Heavy Lifting session

 

+2DEX; +2STR; +2STA

 

 

 

There. That is The Challenge. Only took my a week and a half. >.>

On top of these goals, I'm going to tack on a few accomplishments:

 

 

1. Get bike looked at so I can see which parts I need to replace to fix it

2. Post more on the forums because I'm the worst Guild Leader EVAR.

Pretty sure that's not really a challenge.  She's pretty awesome naturally.  Though I suppose it can always be included into any other challenge!
