Main Quest
To live in the here and now. To love myself for who I am and gain my confidence back. Getting healthy will be a bonus to being myself.

Goal 1: Daily Update (+1 CHA & +1 WIS)
This is pretty self-explanatory. I will update my thread daily. I liked this from my last challenge so I’m keeping. Also, I want to get back into writing in my self-love/gratitude journal. I let it fall to the wayside and I want to pick it back up. It’s useful to look back on it. :) 

Goal 2: Add Exercise (+3 STR & +3 DEX)
This time I'm not having hula hooping as a goal but I can still do it if I feel inclined. This is going to be a 3 part goal.

1) I'm going to aim for walking in the evening with the husband and dog twice a week.

2) I've wanted to pick up belly dancing for years and the last time I had this as a goal, I failed miserably. Soo..I'm adding it back in. Saturday morning this will be done, with additional time during the week if I feel like practicing. If I belly dance, then I can play Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare.

3) I'm hung up what type of exercise I want to do. Body weight training or yoga? I think I'm going to follow Swampling down the rabbit hole that is yoga. I'll also be copying what she's doing aka do the doyouyoga 30-day challenge. However, I will only be doing 2 videos days a week to see how I like it. Also, this will be the first time I've tried yoga soo hopefully 2 days won't be too rough on me. ^_^

Goal 3: Meal Plans (+2 WIS)
I need to start making weekly/monthly plans for meals. This will also help with my following goal as well as my food shopping needs. Currently, I go to the grocery store on Saturdays to pick up meat and any other extras that I may need for that week. I tend go to the produce stand every day and buy the vegetables that I want for that day. I’m a bit spoiled. I want to get into a better habit of this so that when we move, the transition will be easier. I’ll miss my 30 second walk…

 

This first week will be getting all the recipes/meals ideas that I make on a regular basis so new official meal plan for the first. Though I will be shopping this weekend so I’ll need to know what I need by Saturday. 
 

Diet Quest: Limit the Processed/Junk/Fast Food (+2 CON)

Having the meal plans made should help with this goal.I make most of my husband's and my meals. However, there are days when I'm tired or just don't want to cook and we order pizza or go out to a fast food restaurant of some sort. I want to limit these occurrences   Also this will include limiting beer. This will be graded based on each successful day without the processed stuff. I will also be tracking how often I succumb to the temptations of this type of food. 

Life Quest: Be Successful in Clothes Shopping (+1 CHA )

I’m making this into a goal because I’m not a fan of shopping and have had mini freaks in my latest shopping trips. I'm approaching a US women's size 20 in pants and shopping is miserable. I’m attending a friend’s wedding on Oct 18th and need a dress and I would like the dress to fit with their theme. I also will be visiting San Diego (my hometown) the following weekend and want better fitting clothes. :nightmare:

 

This seems like a lot but at the same time do-able. I like it.

Day 1 Update: I really should have written/figured out my challenge on Sunday because I don't have much of an update for the first day. Here's an update. ^_^ I failed the no junk food goal before I even wrote up my thread. >.< Damn candy jar on co-worker's desk. I wrote in my journal. Didn't do anything else challenge related.

 

The plan I have in my head is Yoga on Tuesday/Thursday. Walks on Wednesday and Fridays. Belly Dancing Saturday. Sooo..that's five days. I think that's a good start.

 

Haven't started writing up meals that I make regularly. However, I am going to share this pulled pork recipe I tried over the weekend. It's the called the Best Pulled Pork in a crock pot and it really is. You should try it. It's going on my monthly/bi-monthly plan. ^_^

Grocery shopping for this month is done, but I'll definitely add it to next month's menu.  ;)

That's okay. If it were easy to do, it wouldn't be a challenge. You'll get it right on Day 2 or 3. :-D

 

This is true. And I did go yesterday without eating from the candy jar.

Week 1, Day 2 Update: I went without junk food. No candy from the co-worker and no extra snacks at home. Just got to keep it up. ^_^ I attempted the Day 1 doyouyoga challenge video. I did half of it. I am so not flexible, which is why I'm working on yoga. :) I only did half because I'm trying it out. I actually repeated the half I did, this morning (Day 3). So technically, that's two days of doing 10 minutes of yoga but I'm going to see if I can do two videos. Though that may change depending on how if I stick with just doing half until I get adjusted to the poses. Update is here! :) Haven't started on the meal plan yet. >.< I'll get to it before Saturday, I have to. That's when I do my shopping.

Your exercise plan looks good, and the only way you get better with flexibility (or anything fitness related or otherwise) is to keep trying so you're doing all the right things :)

Not an update but something I had to share.

Asked my husband what he wanted me to make using ground beef. He looked at me and said "just put it on a plate and I'll eat it with a spoon." :) I found it quite funny. Then again I am the one that worries about cooking and hoping he'll like it. But now I have a go to easy meal. ;) ground beef on a plate. :P

GROUND BEEF? IS IT LIKE MINCED MEAT? (Or qeema as we call it?) YUMMM! We usually eat it with rice or Roti (flatbread; it's like tortilla but not that flat and thin??) also add some pickles on the side for flavour!

Honestly meant to do this earlier but got caught up with work stuff and had to leave early for a dentist appointment. Ick!

Week 1, Day 3: Updating a bit late but not too late. Got my journal entry in. Didn't take a walk. >.< I meant to, I really did. Asked the husband on the drive home and he said let's go at 5:30. And he promptly fell asleep once we got home. It looked like a good idea soo I joined him. Woke up at 6 and had to start make dinner soo...missed the walk. But I will see if we can make it up Saturday or Sunday. :) Only going to give myself a half point on the no junk food goal. I did not eat candy. However, I made tacos and fried up corn tortillas for shells and chips. Used vegetable oil which I really don't like to use. Half point is because it was a home made meal just not the healthiest. I'll take it. :)

One question: how do you learn belly dance? From a dvd/book, or do you have a teacher?
