lullaby88 Posted September 19, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 19, 2014 Week 1, Day 4: I updated my OP to say to do two sessions of yoga. I'm not that flexible and trying to attempt some of the positions is a bit daunting. I'm continuing with the DoYouYoga videos but I may adjust this to a better beginner beginner yoga set. I'm not giving up on it. I'm debating on my junk food point for yesterday. I ate clean, minus the beer before my dentist appointment. I needed something to take the edge off...Okay..just decided I'll give myself a slide for that one. Still zero on walking and haven't progressed on the meal planning. >.< This means that I will be bringing my laptop home this weekend and working on it today and tomorrow morning. It's been pretty hectic at work recently. Normally, it's very slow. Update is here. Journal is updated. And I think that's good for now. I did survive the day without eating from the candy jar. Even got handed a piece of chocolate and I was able to throw it out without wishing I ate it. Updated the journal, updating here. Ate homemade tomato soup. I even added a bit of ground beef to it to have some protein in my dinner meal. Not really much to update. But it's here and I get my point. Reminded me of kickboxing and got thinking of trying to find some sort of class for it here. Went to a couple of stores trying to find pants and a dress. Succeeded on the pants. Thank you Walmart clearance. 2 pairs of jeans for 10 bucks. Found a maybe on a dress but didn't get it. Still too iffy on how dresses look on me. Got in a quick walk in around my property, nothing too major but its something. Did not get in my junk food point. Probably won't get it today. Husband wants to watch football so that means going to a bar. Will resist bar food though but not beer. Did a bit of belly dancing. Enjoyed it. Would post a video or gif but trying to do it on my phone is a bit difficult. Gonna enjoy the rest of my weekend. Well, this weekend I went to Kohl's, TJ Maxx, Bealls and Walmart. So mostly discounted stores. I'm too nervous to go elsewhere at the moment. That and I don't like driving sooo...I've been avoiding it. Though one of the malls does have a store I want to check out...I may try it this weekend...maybe.. And I could totally use any help I can get. I asked the bride about what I should wear/ideas where to shop and she just said find a sundress at Ross or Marshalls and you'll be fine. I thought I might have gotten more help but you know, she's probably not concerned with things that aren't affecting the wedding. *shrugs* Also, my husband is apart of the wedding party and has to wear a tux and I don't want to look to downgraded when I'm next to him. Minus the no junk food thing. I'm sort of working on it? I'm also tracking the junk that I eat to see how easy it is to avoid it. I've been partaking in alcohol, which is normal for me. However, I've never really tracked just how much I've drank. I'm doing that as a part of this goal so it's kind of neat. I missed a walk. It's on me. And now I have Bats and Stars stalking me sooo I will get both of them in this week. I adjusted the yoga goal to be two sessions instead of two videos. Which I'm liking. In future challenges, I will probably up this to more days but I'm just getting used to yoga and finding spot to do it. I have hardwood flooring and the yoga mat I have isn't very thick so it's not totally comfortable doing yoga in my bedroom. And the rug in the living room smells like dog and filled with hair. Yes, I can vacuum it however that is the one chore I refuse to do. I did do my belly dancing lesson on Saturday. I think I'm actually going to purchase a DVD for it though. Using Youtube videos is a bit annoying. (Ash, what do you use? I will probably PM you/post on your thread so I can get a quick response ) I worked on my meal plan goal yesterday. A bit late but it's better then not doing it. This week will be easier because my husband is going out of town Thursday afternoon and won't be back until Sunday evening. So there's 4 days where I only have to make enough food for myself. It will be rough not having him around because I'll miss him. We haven't spent much time apart since we met 2 and a half years ago. It's going to be an interesting weekend. I went shopping for clothes on Saturday. I got 2 pairs of jeans so I'll call it successful. I also went by myself and did not freak out over things not fitting. So it was a decent trip. The bad news is: it's time to engage in some online shopping, which I think is often scary for people who haven't done much of it. First, check out these ladies for inspiration: Nicolette, Gabi, and Jay. There are tons more, these three are just my personal faves. Nicolette had a really cute dress for a recent wedding. Jay did a post on weddings not long ago, too. I really like ASOS Curve and their fantastic collection of dresses (bonus: all models are size 14 or above). Not sure of your coloring or build or whether the bride disapproves of black dresses (some do), but it's pretty hard to go wrong with the right cut of black dress (or, if the bride disapproves of black, navy and a deep burgundy are great options). If you feel up to sending me a pic of yourself, I may be able to help you pick some likely candidates... Online shopping is your friend! Most good sites have great return policies, so it's not scary at all to think you might order the wrong size or cut. You can always send it back (usually free of charge or with a very minimal charge) until you get a better idea of what works on you. PLUS! Truthfully, I don't care too much if she doesn't approve of black. However, if I could find something colorful, I would like that instead. I'm normally the black dress wearing type. I wore one to the last wedding I went to and to my court wedding ceremony. That dress is back in San Diego or else I might try wearing it again. It's a black dress with white polka dots. I got it from my old apartment neighbor so it was free I will definitely check out ASOS Curve.They did have some pretty dresses on there. I glanced at it briefly. Besides to write here. I've been spending time among the Level 1's. It's so much work! Good thing Stars is back to help out. Also helping in my lack of a fashion sense so I'm digging it. Going to be buying a belly dancing DVD today or tomorrow or Thursday so I can get by Saturday. Love Amazon prime!
