Harihead
Nice work on Week 3. It sounds like you have raised awareness, which is always good. I used to give blood, so I'm the one they always use to test out new phlebotomists. They poke and poke, and I just sit there and say, "Is that all you got? Where's the BIG needle?" Anyway, sounds like a real screw-up. They should have gone to the smaller needle. I've been poked 5 times in one visit. I have small surface veins so it's hard, I get it. I'm honestly a bit used to it now. However, I've never have a huge lump or a bruise as big as the one I got Saturday. lullaby88
Doing this before I forget. Week 4, Day 1: Nothing to really report goal wise since Monday is my "off day". However, I ended up not sticking to the meal plan and did not get a food point for yesterday. Not my fault (sorta). It was the husband's error but I'm not blaming him for denying me steak. He put them on the grill and then got distracted. It led the steaks to catching fire and becoming a charred mess. The asparagus came out great though. He was upset and a bit out of it. It was the first time he burned a steak. I offered to make pasta since it's simple and I wouldn't have to unfreeze any meat or anything. He didn't respond/want to eat. 9 o'clock rolls around and he recovers and decides we should grab fast food (Taco Bell). Work has been busy for both of us these past week, week and a half. He'll be busy all month because of pumpkins, which means I'll have to be on top of his fast food cravings/decisions if I want to stay ahead in this food game. 1 Major Respawn in Progress Current Previous Challenges: 1 2 3 4 4.1 5 6 "Each of you is perfect the way you are ... and you can use a little improvement." - Shunryu Suzuki Link to comment

lullaby88
Week 4, Day 2: Got in a healthy dinner and lunch. Food point earned, even with the glass of wine I had. Got the yoga in. Journal check. Update, a bit late but check. Oh and I got the dresses I ordered in! I tried them on before my husband got back and got sad about how they fitted even though I knew they wouldn't fit me around the chest when I ordered them. When he got in, I put them on again and he helped me see past being upset. So plus 1 there. Week 4, Day 3: Made chicken fajitas for dinner. Also took a nap and played quite a bit of Plants vs Zombies. I'm getting better! Slowly, but still! Though the husband has been playing it as well and has been leveling up my characters soo that's helping quite a bit. Also went to an alterations shop and got one of the dresses pinned to fit. I should get it by next Thursday. It wasn't as nerve racking as I thought it would be so that's good. Now I'm just hoping she does a good job. No walk because I took a nap and also cut my finger while prepping dinner which is why I played video games instead. 3 Major Respawn in Progress Current Previous Challenges: 1 2 3 4 4.1 5 6 "Each of you is perfect the way you are ... and you can use a little improvement." - Shunryu Suzuki Link to comment

lullaby88
Wow...I'm really behind on my updates. In a way, I was avoiding typing them up. Partly because I felt like I failed, partly because I just didn't want to type anything up. That and been exploring the Level 1's. Life outside of the forums has been interesting. Week 4, Day 4: Missed the food point. I took a nap after work and slept past 7 pm so we ordered food. Work has been crazy busy and it's been draining. Also missed yoga in the morning because my roommate had a friend over and he was sleeping on the couch in the living room. It threw me off my morning routine. Forgot to write in my gratitude journal too. Week 4, Day 5: Also missed the food point. >.< Was de-thawing ground beef in water for my Korean beef recipe and there was a small hole in the plastic bag and water got in and made the beef all nasty. So we went to a bar and ate there. Got a small walk in when we got back. So it wasn't a complete lost of a night. Also forgot to write in the journal again. Week 4, Day 6: Got in food point! Score! Also decided to go shoe shopping first thing in the morning instead of doing belly dancing. So kind of a fail there but I got heels to go with my dress. Well, I'm hoping they will work. Getting the dress back on Thursday and will see how things look. If not, I do have flats or heels that I call my "bondage heels". Basically, strappy black heels but they might not go with a fancy pink dress. Then when I got home, I explored the Level 1's and shared support. So belly dancing wasn't on my mind. Neither was making up the yoga or adding a walk. Week 4, Day 7: No food point. Went out for Mexican food. Husband was craving and it's been a while since we've had decent Mexican food that I didn't cook. Got a bit of a food coma afterwards. Played a lot of Plants vs Zombies this weekend. Didn't do so great. My head hasn't been in the game this week. Worried about the dress and going to the friend's wedding and then thinking about going back to San Diego during the last week of the challenge. I don't want to travel home. :/ Part of me is a little excited but the rest of me is sad about leaving the husband for 5/6 days. Forgot to update here. Forgot to write in my gratitude journal. Missed a yoga session, a walk, belly dancing, making a meal plan. Not my best week. Need to get my head in the game. Need to setup a plan and stick to it so I don't fail. I need a mindset re-mapping and a spot to do workouts/yoga/belly dancing. I need to get over feeling embarrassed about people seeing me exercise. I need to listen to Ron... 1 Major Respawn in Progress Current Previous Challenges: 1 2 3 4 4.1 5 6 "Each of you is perfect the way you are ... and you can use a little improvement." - Shunryu Suzuki Link to comment
