Week 5, Day 5: Boss wasn't at work still so it was an easy day. The rehearsal dinner was this day so the husband and I had to drive an hour south to attend. Did not get the walk because of this. I am giving myself a food point because I decided to not count beer or liquor this weekend. It is for a wedding you know. ;) Got the journal writing done.

 

Week 5, Day 6: Day of wedding! Got my nails done, drove back down to where the wedding was being held. Got to the hotel/wedding venue and noticed that the color of my dress was a few shades off that of the bridal party. ^_^ Whoops. Pretty ceremony, fun reception. Danced a bit and walked a lot in high heels sooo I'm counting that as my 2nd walk of the week. ^_^ Wrote in my journal. Meet some cool people, exchanged numbers with a girl. Drank too much ^_^ 

 

Week 5, Day 7: We stayed in a hotel room and I slept like ass. Woke up pretty sore. Did some yoga when I got home to help get rid of some of the tightness. Did laundry and played video games while taking occasional naps. It was a good recovery day.

I think I did pretty well this week after having such an off time last week. And this was with the wedding and all. By not counting alcohol, I got food points on Friday and Saturday. The food was really clean and light though there was a slight lack of vegetables. Oh wells. Hoping I can continue this success into this week since it's my vacation come Thursday.

Wow, even the shoes were twins! But I actually agree that I like the pleating on your dress and the styling overall versus the ruffling done on hers. Such a cute color for your skin type too!

Week 6, Day 1: Got food point! Made a BLT salad for dinner. ^_^ I was craving bacon for whatever reason and I didn't want a sandwich. I stretched a little since I'm still a bit sore from the weekend and the crappy hotel bed. Not much else to report.

 

Week 6, Day 2: Getting a head start on today. Tried to do yoga this morning but my dog was being needed and kept sticking her face in my mine. Gonna have to try this again this evening. Husband was a bit cranky this morning. He's in pain. His back is hurting and it's hard for him to walk or sit or anything, I guess. To my knowledge, he hasn't done anything out of the usual. However, last year around this time, his sciatic nerve was acting up. Well, at least that's what we think it was. He never went to the doctor. I'm hoping he goes this time around but I have my doubts. *shrugs* Also, won't be getting a food point today. I caved and ate a doughnut that a supplier brought in. >.< I avoided them for like an hour and a half too. Ugh... oh well. I'll be happily munching on my salad soon enough.

Finishing off Day 2's Update: not much more to say. The husband was better. My annoying roommate came back from his sister's wedding with a bunch of food. Including heavy whipping cream, a loaf of french bread and cheese. Sooo...I made chicken Alfredo with broccoli. OMG! So good! I don't make Alfredo often because it is pretty heavy. 

 

Week 6, Day 3: Did laundry, packed my bag and ordered Jimmie John's subs for dinner. So no food point there. Also no walk since I had things to get done and all that. Work was alright, the boss seems to be getting better. Not sure if it's a fluke or what but it's weird. 

 

Day 6, Day 4: didn't do yoga this morning. Too much on my mind and trying not to think about flying, just about being back in San Diego. I wish I was Goku...

Most likely won't be updating or checking in while there. Well, I might in a quick like fashion but you know. Vacation. ;)

I feel that I did pretty well this challenge, even with a wedding and vacation worked into it. ^_^ It needs some work and I am so happy that there's a 2 week break this time. I am so not prepared yet. I haven't given much thought to my next challenge. Well, not enough to actually write up my next week. Need a bit of a breather. 

 

I know I will keep in the belly dancing and yoga. I won't be having the daily update as part of the challenge but I will still be doing it, just no points. Same thing with the gratitude journal. Need to get a better food goal as well. I want to do a better job of cleaning up my diet. I got some thinking to do. And I will be doing some type of reward system for this up and coming challenge. See if that helps me stick better. ^_^

 

Oh and re-cap on vacation. It was a lot of fun being back in San Diego but I missed the husband. And next time I visit, I won't be staying with my folks. My mom's nature is a bit stiff and invading. Whenever I left, she wanted to know where I was going and who I was with and tried getting me to stay there with her. However, she stayed in one of her craft rooms the whole time soo..it was just awkward. Got to spend some time with my dad which was nice. We get along pretty well and have a lot of similar interests. Saw a few friends, including my ex. He only wanted to brag about his life but it's really not that great. And that's why I'm not with him anymore. ^_^

I totally understand not wanting to stay with family when you go home. I love my 'rents most of the time but if I'm around them too much it's just one giant trigger fest for my depression and anxiety which is not cool. My mom plays MMO's all the time rather than crafting but similar deal.  Glad you were still able to have some fun!
