On November 15th I will be running from 700 zombies, on a 3 mile course, with 15+ obstacles to overcome, at night. I want to finish as a Survivor like I did the last zombie race. But this race is a lot tougher and I look forward to it :)

Goal 1: Titanium Ankles: I need strong ankles to help with my avoidance of the undead and their hunger for my life flags. I will be working out my ankles and getting them stronger 2x a day, and stretching them out. (Str. +2)

A: 100% 1400 reps in a week

B: 1300 reps

C: 1200 reps

D: 1100 reps

F: 1000 reps

Goal 2: Stress Relief: Zombies cause stress, and stress is bad. Video games help me release stress at the end of the day, and I haven't played for a long time. Everything must be done, and after dinner will be me and my games!! (Cha. +2, Dex. +1)

A: No procrastination, everything done and video games played

B: Missed out two days of gaming

C: Missed four days

D: Missed six days

F: Missed a week

Goal 3: Keep friends close and Zombies within range of my shotgun: I have been really bad with updating, and helping Nerds out. Everyday I will be keeping you guys posted, and spend time helping you guys and others out. (Wis. +2)

A: 7/7

B: 6/7

C: 5/7

D: 4/7

F:  3/7

Goal 4 under construction.

Life Goal: Fit in a size 8

What do you guys think? I am still going to lose weight and workout, I just noticed I have been doing diet and exercise in every challenge. And it should be a habit now. Everyday I'll write what I've eaten, run 2x a day, increase my strength, eat right, etc. And the size 8 is just something I wanted to do for fun lol.

Today was a mess :(

My sister's dog got something up his nose because, he was bleeding from his nostrils, and had to be taken to the vets today. They thought it was a foxtail, turns out it might be poison and he's getting worse.

No workout other than a slow 3 mile run this evening.

Breakfast: 3 mini chocolate donuts, and a peach  Lunch: Salmon, veggies, and small bit of rice  Snack: 4 Turkey wraps  Dinner: Nothing

Vacuumed, cleaned up and did wash but no video games. Ended up spending most of the time talking to the boyfriend in order to work out our relationship. I didn't do it well, I was to emotionally drained and was to numb. I tried to fight it but ultimately I just gave up. I need prayers to get better at this, I'm just tired of it.

Ankle workouts were done :)

Anyone have a suggestion for a 4th goal?

Link to post

I hope your sisters dog gets better! That must be horrible to deal with.

I love the sentence:

No workout other than a slow 3 mile run this evening.

I'd love to be so fit that I don't count a 3 mile run (even a slow one) as a workout.

I love the zombie themed goals, speaking of which, I know you said diet should just be a habit by now, but maybe have a goal around that if you're looking for something to fit in there? OR join the cool kids and only have 3 goals like me ;)

He is, turns out he was poisoned. And they estimated it was 7-8 days ago which is weird because we don't have poison around the house at all. Or so we thought I guess.

I just love running, and if I don't do a good run I don't consider it a workout.

That was unintentional lol but it fits I have to admit. And I love zombie related stuff. Yeah, but I'm thinking a workout goal because so far that's been my biggest issue. Training.

Breakfast: Banana   Snack: Green smoothie   Lunch: 3 hot dogs with mustard   Dinner: Shishkabob with a bit of rice and yogurt

4 mile run, wasn't fast but I figured out my problem. I was in Oklahoma for over a month and now I am above see level in the mountains. The air is thin and my chest really hurt after I ran because, I was trying to breathe. Just something I have to adapt to.

50 pushups not much but it's something more.

Ankle workouts done.

I've also started a Bible study with the boyfriend on trust, which we both have so little of.

And I played a bunch of point and click games, damn I miss Myst!

I don't want to do just, train this amount of days a week, again. Maybe a challenge every week?

What are your biggest hang ups with training then? (else you could always cheat and have 4th goal as 'complete mini quests for rangers' e.g. stairs this week

So far it's just making a schedule for it. I get really tired from all the cleaning, watching my twin's baby, bible studies, etc. So the exercise besides running gets lost.

Cleaned the house today, and nana came over *sigh*. It went well though, I just avoided her and hung around my aunt betty and great grandmother. They loved my new nephew, Boaz :)

No running, I'm on my period.

No games.

Just a little mess up. But I'm back on track :D

Yay for new family members! I have two older brothers and they both had babies in the last two months so I got to see my new (absolutely tiny) niece this weekend :)

Aaaaaw They're so cute, and loud when they're little.

Goal 1: A: Doing good and I feel my ankles getting stronger! I want to take it a step further on week three and try drills, that will test my dodging abilities.

Goal 2: B: Missed a couple of days :( I haven't gotten my consoles set up yet and have been playing on the computer some free puzzle games. But it's not enough because I like a control in my hands in the end. I'm setting my stuff up now, I want to play Borderlands 2!

Goal 3: C: Getting better at getting on here and updating, but still needs improvement. Must trudge on!

I'm going to try and pick up some size 8 pants to gauge how far I'm coming to fitting in them. I'm thinking maybe Wal-Mart, or salvation army to find them. I'm limited on cash right now but all for good reasons. My parents are paying me to clean the house and other odd jobs. And my twin pays me to babysit, clean out her car, clean the room (the horror!!). But the money is going to a new monitor for my computer, getting my Jeep fixed, paying my dog's vet bill, and then saving for whatever else needs to be paid. I love it though, because I'm working and paying for it all :D

I'm considering making Goal 4 a challenge. This week I want to achieve 1,000 or more pushups in a week. And then next week it'll be 2,000 squats and lunges. What do you think?

Yep, did 50 so far. I will do more tomorrow just things came up today.

Thanks! And I'd rather look like Wonder Woman than Barbie.

Sprinted a Mile in 9 min. Not bad. Then did 50 pushups, and 50 Leg Raises.

My sister's dog had to be picked up and I had to watch her baby to so I was swamped today. No games played....well other than a free indie game I found online. I forgot the name but it wasn't bad.

Breakfast: Smoothie   Dinner: 2 hotdogs and half a eggplant parmesan

Looking good overall.  Keep at it.

I am, it's tough though.

Yesterday I couldn't update because I left with my parents and ended up getting home really late. We took Moses my twin's oldest son, and being not even 2 yet he wasn't happy about getting home past his bedtime.

Ran 3 miles in 35 minutes. Did 300 pushups. A ab workout by Neila Rey called Rocky Abs, and 100 deep squats.

Breakfast: 2 eggs and a salad   Snack: 2 bits of dark chocolate   Lunch: Leftover steak and a green shake   Dinner: Salad from Olive Garden

Today:

250 Pushups, that's all. It got to 100 degrees here and with all my morning chores it got to hot way to fast. And humid!

Breakfast: Salmon, shrimp, and risotto from Olive Garden   Snack: 2 bits of dark chocolate   Lunch: Coconut sugar crumble cake   Dinner: Beans, cheese, tortilla

The only easy day was yesterday :pirate:

Haha funny :P

Sorry I didn't update yesterday. Was preoccupied with news dropped on me that I was going with dad to Bakersfield. Which I'm in the car now headed to my uncle's house.

Breakfast: Green shake   Lunch: 4 Turkey Rolls   Dinner: Subway footlong, overall calories 350

Pushups done: 600  Workout: Hike 2 miles with dogs, 100 pushups, 50 squats

Won't be able to do a workout today. But I will make up on those pushups tomorrow. I brought my Gameboy color with Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on it for my gaming therapy lol.

After talking to the bf and my best friend in Nigeria I realize I am half assing this. And it frustrates and depresses me that I have fallen back to old habits. I'm lazy and a procrastinator and I waste a lot of time. My friend and bf are really hard workers and I admire them for that. So from now on, chores, bible study, workout, drawing, reading, and to do list come first. The games are set up and are for the end of the day. As far as NF, it shouldn't take me two hours to write and update, see all of your challenges, and help a fellow Nerd. I just do other stuff on the computer so it takes longer.

Goal 1: B: My ankle has been hurting which is why I need to do these workouts, but I've been feeling down this week.

Goal 2: A: Got to play a PS4!! The game unfortunately was Destiny. I will just say, I don't really like Halo and Destiny is exactly like it. I also was able to kill Level 4 enemies with a Level 1 gun, that's not right to me. Won't go into detail, I just didn't like it and got bored fast.

Goal 3: F: I have no excuses, I need to get on here and participate.

Goal 4: Well I didn't have a grade up, but I give myself and A for doing 1000 pushups in a week. Now I don't know what to do next, maybe 1500 squats in a week? 100 burpees everyday?

Today, I feel like just laying down and never getting up. And it's something I've been fighting this past week, but it's worse today. Prayers please, I need to fight through this.

Hey Grrrl,

Thought I'd stop by and say hi. It's a good thing i did too. What's wrong? Is your world crappy right now. I haven't read your posts on this thread, but perhaps I should go back and do that.

I'm really sorry that the down-in-the-dumps has gotten ahold of you. You are a badass in my heart, you know that right? If you need time to regroup, by all means do so. But, if you are fighting demons, then stand up wherever you are right now and tell me what you can do about it.

Say it outloud. Tell your animals, tell us. Get get what you want in life right now out in the open. We're always on your side and we want the best for you. We know that's what you want as well. It's okay to be down some, I know you know that, but you are also allowed to give yourself permission to shrug off the negative vibes and strike out in a new direction. Forge your path one moment at a time.

You have such power and courage, more than most people I know. You already have what it takes to make life work for you. Let yourself! Make good things happen, knowing you deserve it and have worked so hard for it.

You are ever in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,

T

I will. But thankfully BlamedCat, my best friend, and God got me through it. And I'm getting through my challenges well to.

Sorry for the delay, my sister has been using the computer since the PC (My PC  ) does not have a working monitor. So my sis has been using her laptop a lot, mainly to go on pinterest and facebook. But I got it!!

Ankles are getting stronger, and I think I'm going to try dodging exercises to better prepare for the race. Any suggestions on how to practice?

Video games are not bad, but I need to reconnect the PS3 again. Which means going through the mess of wires! I think there are trolls that unplug all the wires behind the tv, and mess them up. I think I'm gonna play Rayman Origins today :D

Working out is tough, my mom won't let me touch all the crap in the garage because she has to go through it. But it's all on the workout equipment! Even my dumbells and sandbag are buried underneath it all. I've been running and doing bodyweight workouts but I miss weights.

You could try these. Or something like it. Short quick movements, with and without body twists. You can also do skipping with elevated foot flexed upwards. Um? Do you have an exercise band? You can do ankle flexions against the band for resistance.

Quick direction change running and sprinting (think soccer) could help out too.

Good luck!

Thanks Teri!! I'll do these tomorrow!

Today was OK, I was busy cleaning the side of the house. And then I had to email something to the boyfriend. All goals done, but I regret to say I'm gaining weight :(:(

My mom was all for me to lose weight, but now she's changed her tune and says, "If you want it bad enough you won't eat that." And she's seeing that she doesn't push me. She just told me today I don't do enough. I do dishes, vacuum, I take care of my sister's dog! I washed him and have been giving him his medicine. I know I do a lot, and the animals only have me to take care of them. But I guess that isn't enough.

So tomorrow dad and I want to clean out the garage so I can workout. And I also need to brush the dogs, mop the floor, vacuum, organize my room, clean both bird cages, wash the dogs, brush the horses, clean up tack room, and more.

I'll figure out a workout schedule. First things first, I'm gonna time myself on the computer. No longer than 30 minutes to get on NF and update and say hey to everyone. And no texting to preoccupy me, bf understands.

Gonna workout hardcore tomorrow and the next, I miss it!

Prayers and good thoughts please. I'm still trying to work a schedule out, and I hope my sis won't dump her kids on me again.

The only easy day............

Embrace the.........

And your little dog too.....

The only easy day is a sick day, when all your loved ones have to take care of you :P

Embrace the Doctor

And your little dog too will be drop kicked over the fence if it won't shut up!

Well I am sucking on this goal of updating and helping out fellow Nerds. I really am sorry for that :( I have no excuse and I've made a way where I won't procrastinate on it. I'm setting a timer for 30 min. and I'll get on the computer at lunch and go through NF. Timer goes off, I'm up and away from the computer.

Goal 1: A: Thank you Teri!! My ankle feels a lot better, and when I ran it didn't feel weak.

Goal 2: A: So far so good. I only have the PS3 to play right now, my XBOX360 isn't working and I have to fix it when I get my tools set up.

Goal 3: F: Working on it....

I'm not doing a Goal 4, I should've thought it up before but I didn't.

Today I did what I planned on doing. I got up, ran 3 miles in 34:24 not proud of it but I ran. Did yoga, 100 Hanging Leg Raises and 100 Jumping Jacks.

Organized my room, did dishes, cleaned the kitchen, and put the tarp on the hay.

Breakfast: Protein shake   Lunch: Handful of kettle chips   Dinner: Cereal

I also got my Bible study done, and read a philosophy book. I'm trying to get smarter, and wiser. I've always wanted to be as intelligent as Batman.

My aunt gave me depressing news about my life, and I'm trying to get through it. Prayers please.

Yesterday wasn't a good day. Twisted both ankles and bruised my knee really good. Wasn't all at once thankfully. Sprained my right ankle correcting it from a fall, when I was tracking the dogs down. Thankfully dogs were found, and all the working out on my ankles prevented it from being worse. Then sprained the left walking down a hill. And the knee happened because of the baby fence in front of the kitchen, I stepped over it and didn't make it and fell.

Ran 4 miles looking for the dogs :) Have no time though

Today I tried to run, but ankles are sore still so I walked mostly 3 miles. I'll ice them tonight.

I ate for breakfast a leftover braut and some baked fries. I'm going to try and workout in the gym, but I'm going to have to stick to machines and take it easy on the squats.

Link to post

I'm doing pretty good on this challenge and I should be happy, but I'm not. I'm really down because I've lost my drive to lose weight, Marines, to be better, etc. Trying to get it back but it isn't easy :(
