Odango
Hi Pacha! Thanks ) I see you're a newbie as well! The Five Tibetans are a series of 5 yoga exercises, supposedly created by tibetan monks (no none really knows, and all that matters is that they make you feel goooooood!).The goal is to repeat each exercise 21 times, but you start with one or two repetitions for the first week, progressively increasing to reach 21 over as much time as needed. Here is a really good tutorial, it's in French but the guy shows the movements really well = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekhhp78S6r0(Actually, today I am setting myself the goal to translate this video because it's the best tutorial I've seen so far and it should be accessible for as many people as possible). I do these for two reasons: they're really easy to learn and to practice (that's worth a lot of points in my book!), and they increase my well-being and my energy both immediately and on the long term. My problem has always been to stick to a routine xD Dancing Sylph - Level 9 Monk/Druid Former Captain of the Nerdians of the Fitalaxy Current Challenge "E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle" - We came forth, and once more saw the stars, Dante Link to comment

PachaTisai
My problem has always been to stick to a routine xD This pretty much sums me up as well... Thank you for posting the video. It looks AWESOME. I think my evening workout may consist of yoga for the first time in, well, ever. From one newbie to another, if you ever need an accountabilibuddy (or assassibilibuddy if you choose assassins), just give me a shout. I find I need all the help I can get, and am always willing to lend support or a kick in the rear, whichever is needed. Relax, don't worry, have a homebrew! Link to comment

I'll check all this out. It would be the perfect, single most amazing combination to be a druid/monk/assassin I will wait for at least half way through the challenge to choose a guild, but I'm thinking joining the assasins might be a great first step. I'll tell you in about 3 weeks! And noooo, I haven't watched the crystal series yet! I've been busy with moving abroad and I've been waiting to settle down a little, I want to cherish this sailor rebirth! Odango
DAY TWO on the challenge (yeah, got in a little late) Morning yoga went smooooth. Did my 7 repetitions in the grass under a bright late summer sun, simple morning bliss!I also completed the beginner bodyweight workout today, but man, that was hard! Much harder than I thought, I've been eating too much sugar the past 10 days. And those push-ups are real tough love, and I did them on my knees instead of my toes but that's no surprise Planning on doing my paleo day on Sunday. Alcohol is easy to keep at bay, even though my in laws have the best wines in stock. Easy, breezy, almost xD 1 Dancing Sylph - Level 9 Monk/Druid Former Captain of the Nerdians of the Fitalaxy Current Challenge "E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle" - We came forth, and once more saw the stars, Dante Link to comment

0gravity
Hi Nol! Don't forget the Gluteuses! Also - just wanted to say Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness usually peaks 24-48 hours after a workout and can actually be worsened by stretching. Just keep at it once you feel better and I think you will find that each time it makes you less sore than the time before! You are doing awesome BTW and you make me smile. 2 Battle Log Challenge Link to comment

Odango
Help everyone, damsel in distress over here! Tomorrow's paleo day and I am so afraid to give in to temptation and eat loads of chocolate spread on yummy evil bread..."But why do you even have these in your kitchen?", you ask. Well I don't, but my in laws do and I'm holidaying at their house until Monday.Scary visions of buttered slices of bread covered in a mountain of hagelslag have started to invade my thoughts I'm in the Netherlands for a holiday and they have foods I'd never buy for myself, loads of things to put on bread basically, and sooo sweet. I've been binging on them a little since I arrived, which leads me into craving stage (oh, did I forget to mention that my willpower is subzero when it comes to food? I think it comes from past years of bulimia, it's all messed up up there in those synaptic connections...) Writing about it is already making me feel better though, amazing side effect of asking for help it would seem! Pherales
You've so got this all figured out. Make those cravings your bitches they don't own you! You're far too awesome to let such wimpy things have control of you! My brain works in a very rational way, the only thing that genuinely speaks to me above all else is logic. So when I get hit by those cravings (usually for curly fries, damn you curly potato gods!) I ask myself "what benefit could having those fries possibly have for me in the long term?" Give it about five minutes and I've completely talked myself out of having them. Then I make something healthier to eat if I'm still hungry then, and I'm good. Obviously, this doesn't work for everyone but I always suggest figuring out what your brain responds to and using it to your advantage. Like, if you're a "it's there and it's the fastest thing to get" person, casually put something like a bag of nuts of a bowl of fruit in between you and said offending item. Suddenly the nuts/fruit become the closest thing to hand, and so much easier to reach because you don't have to get uuup and get things ooout and spreeeead them. Ugh, so much work! 1 Do the thing Link to comment

I'm afraid my brain's completely emotion-based ESPECIALLY when it comes to food you know, you're right though, getting the stuff from the kitchen, a plate and a knife, spreading the spread, putting things in the dishwasher and fod back in the closet... it's annoying xD So much easier to eat a banana! I'm putting a banana in front of me, right now! I'm lucky though, woke up with a bright sun and it put me in such a good mood that I've been really strong so far. Just had an amazing paleo brunch with eggs, turkey, loads of veggies and olive oiiiiil I'm kind of like Launch but with the weather instead of sneezing xD (ooh, let's watch dragon ball again!) What's hagelslag? Whatever it is, if you don't want it, it has no power to get inside you! You have the power, you can do this! Thanks! I need to keep reminding myself of this until it sticks!Hagelslag is a diabolical Dutch invention! basically chocolate sprinkles that you spread over buttered toast, hehe, and it tastes devilishly good. they have really good quality dark chocolate sprinkles here (snce they're not just for cake decoration).
