Windranger
Wow, I just started having Garmin withdrawal... Hmm did you stop tracking? Here's an idea for the walking goal. On inclement days, explore the insides of the university buildings. I've seen some campuses with mile-long hallways. Yeah. I probably will try to walk around during the breaks ---------- I just found this: Beginner Bodyweight Routine Wanted to go to the gym tomorrow but I have to take care of my brother. Maybe I go on friday. Attending the kickboxing course won't be possible - it's too expensive. I will start this Beginner Bodyweight Routine and the Cardio Kickboxing Workout in variation with tomorrow afternoon and this will count as "workout" for this challenge "The purpose of life is to be happy." - Tendzin Gyatsho, the 14th Dalai Lama Character Link to comment
Windranger
At the moment I feel a bit like I am dying. I tend to say the ones who claim that satured fat is bad fat are right. I ate much of it today and damn my body is struggling like crazy. I was so proud of this meals. I love those meals, they seem healthy and they are tasty but probably they aren't. It feels like all the parts of my body are now desperately whining: Brain: I am so sorry body.. Body: Yeah, you're sorry. As always. Finally stop eating unhealthy, stupid. You're killing us! Windranger
How can one hate himself so much.. I am in such a bad mood that even what is considered death metal sounds like a sweet happy song to me. #$@?/" Nightmarish day.. I want a normal simple life. Without failures every two seconds tearing me down and crushing me to the floor. Is that too much to ask for? The night before the last I slept 4 hours. Last night I wasn't able to get any sleep. I had to pay 8 € for the bus altough they'd have just needed the bill of the semester ticket. I went to the wrong room first because it was written like this in the time table, but a mail that had been sent out said the workshop was somewhere else. I had enourmous stomachache all day long and altough I didn't feel very sleepy I recognized from my behaving how exhausted my body was. To the worst of all: I was filmed for training. Altough I was so damn tired and I don't like to be filmed I accepted - I have no clue how I can do such a thing. I was so embaressed of myself. Talking shit all along and messing everything up and then let the whole course watch it again. Probably that's nothing bad, I shouldn't care and laugh about it. But I cannot. I hate myself. I hate myself so damn much. When I came home I wanted to cool down buy listening to some cannibal corpse or other death metal but as mentioned before.. everything sounded so sweet and delightful considering how I felt at that moment. I don't feel much better yet. That my former colleagues just got their bachelor's degree which I could have already also with today if I'd have been able to stay with them doesn't make it any better. IF I didn't have such a lack in self-discipline everything would be so much easier. I just had a bunch of french fries and am drinking a beer now. Mistborn
Okay, first things first, the way you laid out your challenge thread on that first page. I'm tempted to go and set mine up in a similar fashion but I fear you'd strike me down. I love your Shield Maiden theme as well! It is incredibly fun and what drew me in to check out your thread. I haven't seen Vikings yet but it is moving up higher on my "to watch" list now. I have an interest in Anglo-Saxon literature and that time period, and our Old English is so similar to Icelandic that they just seem to pair well together. I should read some of the old Norse literature soon. You have a great set of goals, and you'll continue to do awesome at them. This first challenge will be conquered in a manner that only a Shield Maiden could accomplish. I'll be dropping back in from time to time to see how you're doing. oromendur
Greetings shield-sister! You made it! Come on in, grab a bench and a horn of mead. Battle's over. It was a rough one (well, the part I could see from way over here, anyway) but here's the good news -- you won't be feasting with the einherjar tonight! You survived. You can fight another day. I want a normal simple life. Without failures every two seconds tearing me down and crushing me to the floor. Is that too much to ask for? Yes, it is -- life never gives us anything for free -- but it isn't too much to work for (or take by force, which is what I recommend, but then I'm just a simple Viking ) Talking shit all along and messing everything up and then let the whole curse watch it again. Probably that's nothing bad, I shouldn't care and laugh about it. But I cannot. I hate myself. I hate myself so damn much. Dang, the foemen really got you good a couple of times in that battle! You're wounded -- but you're alive. Let's see if we can't get Eir to stop by and patch you up. Were you able to see anything in the video that will help you do it better next time? IF I didn't have such a lack in self-discipline everything would be so much easier. I just had a bunch of french fries and am drinking a beer now. How can something insignificant like this do me so much harm? Good gracious, I know what that feels like! But -- again -- you might have been wounded today, perhaps even defeated, but you're alive. When the sun comes up tomorrow it will be a new day. To close, I think I'll just quote a wonderfully wise shield maiden who posted on my thread yesterday: Take your time, do little steps, don't be mad at you for something there is not even anything to be mad about. Gute Besserung! Heal up soon so you can fight again tomorrow! The text I wrote was exactly SinisterCurse.. that person I was but don't want to be anymore. Weak, worrying too much, unnecessary anger. Your words are simply genius and are cheering me up in an indescribable good way. The whole class watched the video together. I wanted to dig myself and never come out again. I've done such talks already some times on 'trade fairs' (?) but never so unarmed, with sleep deficit or getting on camera. That alltogether led into chaos. I despite was able to recognize what I can improve yep. Good that you ask, I should see the positive aspect of it. Tomorrow is the second part of the seminar. I'd love to go there way more self confident and only remember yesterday as a lesson. As a lesson how things shouldn't be. As a lesson in which I learned what's one of the reasons for losing fights - insecurity. With whining about and being the easily defeated little girl I will never impress the gods. They will only laugh their ass off. I fell.. but I stand up again. *pouring more mead in amberdisa's drinking horn* thank you, shield-sister! 1 "The purpose of life is to be happy." - Tendzin Gyatsho, the 14th Dalai Lama Character Link to comment

Of course, by the time we get back the new Apple Watch may be available, so there might just be a replacement in store.... My GPS needs some time to start working. I run with my mobile phone and have to take the cover off in order to make the GPS working. Sometimes it starts working after an quarter hour or not until I reached the top of the hill. It's nothing necessary to track it but I think it's great to be able to look back at what you've achieved. You also get a overview about how your running or whatever you're tracking improves. Okay, first things first, the way you laid out your challenge thread on that first page. I'm tempted to go and set mine up in a similar fashion but I fear you'd strike me down. Hmm do you mean you are worried I'd strike you down if you'd set it up in a similar fashion because I could be mad? If so - I am definitely not. In fact I think that would be awesome! Seems like you know much about this part of history and geography? I am not so well educated in that unfortunately. I probably should get some literature about it. I read a book about Norse Mythology and I think about reading it again because the stories are so catching and I love to 'hear' about the gods, the worlds, the giants, .. It's simply such an amazing topic in my mind. Thank you for your support, Mistborn! 1 "The purpose of life is to be happy." - Tendzin Gyatsho, the 14th Dalai Lama Character Link to comment

As much as we *think* the entire world wants to humiliate us and destroy any possible remnants of self-esteem we might still be clinging to, that's really all baggage we bring along when we insist on interpreting everything as a personal criticism. If we must suffer through all of that self-inflicted pain, we might as well take advantage of the positive effects as well Easier said than done, of course...and we just won't talk about how awful I am at not taking things personally...but anyway. You're learning, and that means your life is improving, and that's awesome. Gobnait
About self-discipline... You can have the self-discipline to keep stumbling along now, not completely lay down and die. Windranger
stupid eating habits.. The hiking was AWESOME. We had so much fun I was extremely hyped all day long xD Only ate two apples and some fries that day. I put this under spoiler. Because when I go hiking, I don't want to see what it's looking like there before I went there. So for the people who got the oportunity to visit the "Schobersteinhaus": simply go there and see yourself, don't forget to go till the cross on the summit, the view is breathtaking I didn't track the hiking but according to the informations we overcame 633 m elevation (from starting point to the summit). We chose the longer path 2.5 h up to the summit and another path 1.5 h back to the starting point. Molln Schobersteinhaus View towards Trattenbach and Ternberg (from the summit) View towards Molln (from the summit) The next day.. yeah.. eating, eating, eating.. ah yes, did I mention eating? Hardly managed anything for the exam I really hope with university starting again I will get a good daily routine. I applied for a job for preparatory operations in the morning and working on saturday because I'm often short on money - especially now at semester start where you need new stuff (print scripts, buy folders, ... ) . If I'd eat less there would be more money left also I guess xD xD Whereby.. I don't need much money for what I am eating.. it's simply always little unhealthy stuff like toasts or cereals every few minutes.. Summed up the price would be the same as for a good, great healthy meal. 1 "The purpose of life is to be happy." - Tendzin Gyatsho, the 14th Dalai Lama Character Link to comment
