Windranger
Ugh laziness, kills me too I was too lazy to cook yesterday, so I got myself a pizza.Hiking may be a good idea though Fresh air, bit of movement. I should do it, too, but then again: laziness xD If that fellow student wouldn't have asked me to go hiking I would have been lying in bed all day long. A person who drags you out of the laziness is a huge win for your own life. Maybe you know someone like that too who could help you fight the laziness? You are a wood-elf, you know you love being out there. Don't think about it. Step out and enjoy nature The hiking was really exhausting for me in the beginning. The path was either steeply going uphill or downhill, hardly any flat sections. As I experienced it in the past so often already I gained power and motivation from section to section. Really happy to have him because he's motivating me for going for a walk or hiking so often 3 "The purpose of life is to be happy." - Tendzin Gyatsho, the 14th Dalai Lama Character Link to comment
oromendur
So? How did your fast go? How are things in your life, in this new week? As I experienced it in the past so often already I gained power and motivation from section to section. This is very true. If I can just get going, it will be all right. I've never regretted going for a hike (or run, or workout, or whatever). I have quite often regretted not going... Wishing you luck, shield-sister! Windranger
I could use some power for university stuff but I guess on the third day of fasting I cannot expect very much of that ;D We've been walking our 10 km path anyway again today 2 "The purpose of life is to be happy." - Tendzin Gyatsho, the 14th Dalai Lama Character Link to comment
Windranger
Last day of fasting. I am feeling awesome. Yesterday I was at university visiting lectures and studying from 8 am 7 pm. I had a 0.75 h walk when I became tired at noon to gain some power again. Was a great day and when I fell into the seat in the bus I suddenly got so tired I immediately could have fallen asleep xD So much work, but damn, i love it I have a way more positive attitude now than I had it before the health problems were gone - if I had any back there at all. So, I have no problem with eating nothing but because I really, really love eating I am looking forward to that apple I gonna eat tomorrow for lunch 2 "The purpose of life is to be happy." - Tendzin Gyatsho, the 14th Dalai Lama Character Link to comment
oromendur
Last day of fasting. I am feeling awesome. Wow! Good for you! The longest fast I've legitimately managed was around 24 hours, and I don't think I'd do it again very soon, so I'm now officially in awe. Gut gemacht! Gute Arbeit! It does make you feel great, doesn't it? You can't do it forever, and you need to listen to your body to make sure you're not harming it, but it's an amazing way of living and the health benefits are tremendous. So proud of you! How will you reward yourself for your successful challenge? Thank you, amnerdisa There's a difference between the intermittent fasting and a fasting cure For the fasting cure you take epsomite on the first fasting day and when it's the first time fasting your body will probably switch to programm 2 (get energy from sources that are already in the body and not anymore from food intake) on the third day (for me it was the forth day the first time). There's some more stuff to consider when doing a fasting cure but I won't go into greater detail now, I am sure there's some stuff around here in the world wide web I wonder how the intermittent fasting will work for me. It would be awesome if it was possible for me to simply eat once a day or maximal twice. The reward for this challenge will be a pair of new trousers as soon I as I got enough money to afford them. I would have bought them anyways because I need those but now I know I also deserved buying them. My boyfriend told me about a women who is doing 3 weeks fasting once a year I just made french fries for my little brother and on the kitchen counter there lies a bar of chocolate. Eating nothing for five days and then being so close to food really isn't easy ;D The five days are again perfect for me. I feel good but as I already mentioned before I am happy that tomorrow at noon I will eat something. 2 "The purpose of life is to be happy." - Tendzin Gyatsho, the 14th Dalai Lama Character Link to comment

Windranger
Well. Being near food when you are tired and allowed to eat again isn't a good idea. Didn't make it to have good build up plans because I ate much the last several hours. Although it maybe isn't right I see this challenge as managed. Miserably managed, but managed. I give myself +1 WIS for the two times fasting and +1 STA for all the walking. It's a bit against the rules but after all that trying to manage a challenge and now that I really managed a big change in my life I still feel like it's okay. Then there are +1 CHAR and +1 WIS for Level 1 Rebels Mini-Quest. For the next challenge I will be definitely more strict! 2 "The purpose of life is to be happy." - Tendzin Gyatsho, the 14th Dalai Lama Character Link to comment
oromendur
There's a difference between the intermittent fasting and a fasting cure I guess so! One difference is that I don't think I could do the fasting cure Very impressive achievement! I wonder how the intermittent fasting will work for me. It would be awesome if it was possible for me to simply eat once a day or maximal twice. As I said earlier, I like it. Only rarely do I find it difficult, and I don't give myself too much trouble about an hour here or there. As long as my daily fast times average out at about 16 hours, I'm happy. You do have to listen to your body, though... The reward for this challenge will be a pair of new trousers as soon I as I got enough money to afford them. I would have bought them anyways because I need those but now I know I also deserved buying them. Shopping! Yay! I just bought a new pair myself -- I went to a secondhand store, though, so while they are new to me, they are not new. Oh well. I can buy more clothes that way, right? I could eat no stop now. Its damn difficult to resist now that i had started eating again yesterday. Hopefully you managed to eat at least a few more good things than bad things... Thank you so much, amberdisa, for all your encouragement, kindness and useful tips! The at least 16 hours fasting motivation sounds great, I'm going to adopt that. I will join the rangers for the next few challenges.
