I bet youll hit your goal no problem, its all about that technique and working up to, i hit a max last fall of 435 pounds (@220 pounds), but it was no easy task. Lets not sugar plum anything, chances are I'd eat it.Youtube was picking up the background music in the gym and giving copyright warnings. So to make things watchable they let you override the music, dance of the sugar plum faries is most appropriate for my lifting. HAH!!! I took up lifting to get back into shape for TKD then ended up lifting people and weights. I love deadlifts, and I'm sure youll come to love them i hope! I bet youll hit your goal no problem, its all about that technique and working up to, i hit a max last fall of 435 pounds (@220 pounds), but it was no easy task.I've actually been working very closely with the national coach, physio and coach (peer kind of partnership coach) to figure out which cues work for me and what underlying biomechanical issues need resolved. Best news I've had all year is that it's not piriformis syndrome like was initially thoughts. Some SI joint dysfunction due to compensating for a very old injury for a very long time.In other news, my body is tormenting me by letting be get 170kg up to my knees but not lock out. And the sudden realisation that I have three training weeks before Denver, with one of those being a taper week. Tankweazel Posted October 26, 2014 Author Report Share Posted October 26, 2014 Lack of updates for a while because I've been working and training on the other side of Scotland. The benefits being that I can stick to a diet plan because there is finite fridge resources while I'm there. Squads last weekend went well. Hitting a 170kg squat and 105kg bench (failed to lock out the 110kg, nae triceps.) I had my last deadlift session yesterday and because I've been behaving and eating right I'm not getting sweet FA out of the deadlift suit. I now have a glorified pink titan singlet for Denver.I get new kit while I'm at the worlds though, so stuff planned out to fit me when I'm down in the 52s next year.On the plus side, I hit a 132.5kg paused squat at 54.5kg body weight (unequipped for clarification.) I won, but didn't hit the QT as I needed to take it easy before heading out to Denver. Currently in Denver for the IPF Open. Lifting tomorrow, got my body weight back up to 55.2 this morning. I got told to try it and I just found pulls easier. Inittially it was just letting the bar sit in my fingers, then I got lazy and din't bother putting my thumb around.Turns out it also mimics how I would grip up for judo.
