Mera
Background:Hi all, I’m Mera. I love being out in nature, especially in and around water. I’m 5’7†and weigh around 130 lbs. I have pudding for arms and not much of what you would call endurance. I’m hoping to gain some muscle weight and work on my stamina and flexibility. I’ve recently quit smoking and drinking which is a good base to start, so now I “just†need to activate my super powers. I hope I got everything right with my quest, but please let me know if you see anything wrong with it. Since I'd like to include strength, stamina and meditation in my quests, I’d also be interested in your thoughts on which Guild might be the most suitable… Intro:After years of fighting against the evil creatures of the deep sea, Mera emerges from the waters and drags herself on to a sandy beach. The war has almost cost her everything, and it is far from over. “I must regain my strengthâ€, she thinks. “Arthur and the others need me.†Exhausted, she takes a look around. The place looks deserted. Perfect. “I guess it’s not going to get any better. Let’s do this..†Main Quest: Activate super powers Goal 1: BODY3x bodyweight and kettlebell workouts per week, followed by YogaA: 3x [+2 STR, +1 CON]B: 2x [+2 STR]C: 1x [+1 STR] Goal 2: HEART 1x swimming per weekA: 1x 50mins [+2 STA, +1 DEX]B: 1x 40mins [+2 STA]C: 1x 30mins [+1 STA] Goal 3: MIND 3x meditation per week (15-25 mins each)A: 60+ mins pw [+2 WIS, +1 CHA]B: 40-60mins pw [+2 WIS]C: 40- mins pw [+1 WIS] Life quest: 100 push ups Motivation: Stop being lazy and be awesome instead. 4 Forever Respawning Rebel CURRENT CHALLENGE Previous challenges: 01, 02 "Just sitting here on the corner of awesome and bombdiggity..." - unknown Link to comment

Mera
Thank you both! Day 01 Update: Really sore from a workout I did yesterday, so I started Week 01 on a meditation day. 20 mins of Mettabhavana completed. I tried a guided one on youtube which went alright, but actually think I'm better off just with myself and the bells. I'm also working towards push ups, so this morning I tested whether I'm able to do 50 wall push ups. Which, according to the guideline I follow, you should be able to do, before you move on to table push ups. Happy to report that the pudding arms are indeed able to push my face away from the wall. Also had a super healthy dinner. Overall feelings of awesomeness. Good night! 3 Forever Respawning Rebel CURRENT CHALLENGE Previous challenges: 01, 02 "Just sitting here on the corner of awesome and bombdiggity..." - unknown Link to comment

Lots of squats this morning had me looking like a member of the ministry of silly walks going to my car... Which is just awesome. Silly walk's my favourite kind of walk, even though it's a little rough on the spine sometimes. 1 Dancing Sylph - Level 9 Monk/Druid Former Captain of the Nerdians of the Fitalaxy Current Challenge "E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle" - We came forth, and once more saw the stars, Dante Link to comment

Mera
Day 02 Update Walking around with Noodle Arms and doing the silly walk all day. Wasn't sure if I could actually do a proper workout today. But alas, work turned out to be a bit mental, so I had a lot of frustration to channel when I got home. Did my kettlebell workout (8kg):2 sets of: 10 snatch pull and presses, 10 single arm rows (5 each side), 20 swings, 12 single arm press (6 each), 10 figure eights, 10 halos) Then tried how many kitchen counter push ups I can do... 40 !!! Positively surprised by that. One step closer to the floor. And then did some Yoga for stretching. So all things considered for today I get to tell myself: 4 Forever Respawning Rebel CURRENT CHALLENGE Previous challenges: 01, 02 "Just sitting here on the corner of awesome and bombdiggity..." - unknown Link to comment

Mera
Day 03 Update Soreness all around, but still: Kettlebell workout Nr. 2 completed. Almost considered postponing it to later in the week, but the fiancé went out for a run, so I would have felt horrible not doing anything. Hooray for reciprocal peer pressure. Btw, he's also joined NF (@Kaine). Say hi to him on his challenge thread here:http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/54653-new-to-nf-kaine-jumping-on-a-challenge-right-off-the-bat/ I also went shopping to get new swimming goggles which shall be put into action tomorrow.
