Just remember it does get easier.  I was drinking about a gallon of Mt. Dew a day and went cold turkey.  It has been about 4 months now and I rarely think about it.  I cant even imagine what it would taste like now.  It would probably be so sweet it would make me sick.  Just remember every day gets easier.

Good move! I dropped soda (48 oz or so per day) and beer (4 plus 3 nights a week) in 1990. Dropped 15 to 20 lbs and felt great. Substitute was water which had its own positive affects. I still do not drink soda. I am positive my health is significantly better for not drinking soda. Two beers with my Friday nite cheese burger.

Soda sucks. It was one of the easiest things I ever went cold turkey on. I cut all sugar at the same time, so maybe that helped. I don't even give soda a thought now other than testing my grocery carrying might. How many cases can I carry at the same time? Six safely. Eight with a chance of a huge mess.

Pity on those who actually drink that crap.
