Yesterday's workout.

 

Set 1.

3 pulse squats & 4 monkey squats:   reps: 4x4

 

Is this what you mean by monkey squats?

I have crazy tight hamstrings*. I'm thinking these might help. I was trying to figure out a way to put something into my next challenge to try to improve my hamstring flexibility. Maybe these along with some leg swings and static stretching.

 

* (Especially painfully tight on one side. I think there was a small tear many years ago and that now I'm fighting against scar tissue.)

20 min. of tabata today.  Haven't done that in quite a while, so I don't expect to be able to move tomorrow.

v-crunch:21,17,5,9

      --leg raises:10,6,0,10

 

push ups: 10,3,4,3,3,2,4,3

 

side v-crunch:24,16,9,9

         --4 20 sec. planks

 

monkey squats:13,10,8,11

         --jab/cross and cross/hook combos (didn't count reps)

 

light yoga.

4 min. tabata punching: chains 3x, low chains, H/M/L chains, jab/cross, jab/cross, hooks

I'm finally better. I thought for a few days I was going to cough out a lung.  And with being well has come a sense of restlessness. I know the challenges just ended, so I'll just have to do my own. My two major concerns is my lack of regular activity since gradation and my chronic dehydration. So my goals for the next six to eight weeks are as follows: 

 

1. Two full body workouts 2x a week minimum  (Aiming for Tuesdays and Thursdays)  Anything else will be appreciated but not counted.

 

2. 4 glasses of water minimum daily for two weeks, with increased glasses every two weeks after until eight is easy again.

 

3. PLP, or rather PL on non-workout days. Increasing reps of pushups and squats every day (except T/R.), starting with 15 reps until I hit 50.  Then start over with a more difficult variation. I'm going to let these two exercises move independently because I know I'll advance is squats faster then I will in pushups. Also, I'll allow myself to go past the goal rep for the day on an exercise, but if I do it's the new baseline.

 

 

   

Let's see how this works.

 Well only 3/4 glasses of water yesterday.

 

Yes, yesterday was Tuesday, but I needed a day to ease back in, so only the PL.

 

PL met though: 15 pushups and 15x2 squats (I don't want to count this as 30 yet, I think i'm going to change this to reps in a set, not total for squats).
