Mini Challenge Thread: Setting up a forward base

Recommended Posts

I don't think we should worry about it too much. This isn't competitive. Think of it as different kinds of work getting done.

There's no need to worry about x giving more than y, as we are all working together.

You are right.  We are all working together to get the camp set up.  The goal is participation and progress towards our main goals.  The competition part is just for fun.

The Nightsisters are keeping pace with the Deadlift Force for weight lifted!  Keep up the awesome work!

Ain't nobody going to catch Alexc in distance, though!

Oh no, she's out-distancing everybody! >.< It's awesome.

I think the deal was distance while carrying stuff.  So it's yards traveled * lbs carried.

Also,  did we continue this from Week 4 AND Week 5?  I haven't added anything from week 5 yet.

JediNickD, what do you think?  I looked back and it looks like this started 12/2.   So I guess I should keep tallying until we say stop?

Let me know and I'll add my numbers from last week:

Rode 3 days with stuff (Drove one day, skipped work one day).  Not counting mtn bike ride on Sunday 12/7 because bag was almost empty.

16 mi * 1760 yards/mi * 12 lbs in backpack = 337920 carried**

Lifted only one day (not counting random, poorly counted push-ups here and there)

45*10+65*10+115*15+75*35+80*5 = 5850 lifted**

**not added to spreadsheet yet.

EDIT:  Looking through it looks like we're counting both Week 4&5.  Adding numbers.  Congrats to all for spending two weeks on our awesome fortress building :D

Finally on the board.  Last week I was feeling back to normal after being sick . Got some BW workouts in and finally logged.  I wasn't sure what sort of conversion we were using.  I used 60% for my BW workouts - mostly lunges and BW rows.

I stopped adding on 12/8. I'll add for Week 5 later today. I lifted, it should make an impact, but I didn't do anything for distance. I was hoping for a new mini. Oh well, time to put the finishing touches on the fortress!

Just looked at your sig line - are you Basque? I'm from Idaho, but my grandpa was 100% Bilbao Euskera!

Ni ez euskal naiz, I am not Basque. The time that I have spent in Euskal Herria with Basque friends has been life changing for me - it's one of my favorite places on the planet. Will you be at Jaialdi in Boise this summer?
