RedPandaOne
I was debating about doing this challenge. I just couldn’t feel it in my heart. However, that all changed last night. I decided to try on my too tight pants (aka: my fat pants) before I went to bed to see if they were still too tight or if they had gotten looser. I could not button them. I cried myself to sleep promising that tomorrow (today) it will all change. Here goes challenge #5. Main Goal: Lose 2-4 inches from arms/waist/hips/thigh/calves. The goal is by April. My friend and I have a bet going. I want to fit into my jeans and my size 10 dress by my birthday, and he wants to fit into his suit for a friend’s wedding. If I win, I get the 13 foot long scarf that he knitted. If he wins, I have to give him a drawing of Supergirl and Batgirl that I’ve wanted to work on. It’s a recreation of this one: Main 3 goals:Do cardio 3x a week Strength train 1x week Track food 5 days a week Mini goals:Swim 1x a week Practice Swedish 30 minutes a weekNot to be confused with a mini challenge. These are goals I want to accomplish throughout the entire challenge, but aren’t as important as my main three. I will not be grading my mini goals. Just a yay or nay each week if completed. Scoring: Each Main Goal will be graded on a scale of A-F. Fully completed will get an A while never even attempted will get an F. Partially completed or half assed attempted will get somewhere in the B-D range. No more crying myself to sleep! 2 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. RedPandaOne
That sounds rough, But at least you can turn that negative into inspiration and motivation to improve. Oh man was it rough. I gave myself the night to feel bad about myself, and this morning I am using it for inspiration and motivation. I was able to resist having one of the apple cider doughnuts that someone brought in for breakfast. And so far have only had what I've mentally planned to eat. That's me in the front in the glasses. And yes, I have officially started my O HELLS NO! chapter, too! It's amazing how one simple thing can kick you in the butt so hard. 2 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. RedPandaOne
I think posting my calorie totals will force me to be more honest in my tracking. So I'm going to start tonight. Here are my calories and their breakdowns - screen shots from my sparkpeople account. You'll probably have to click on the image, if I remember correctly from an old challenge. Sorry in advance. I don't know how to fix that yet. 2 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. It's a journey you'll have to take by looking inside yourself. You must write your destiny..." RedPandaOne
Creepy, but awesome. I love it! Didn't track food today. Went into Boston today and ate at Quincy market (pizza and a small sprite) and then my parents and I went to a local seafood place. I had a bowl of chowder and a tuna salad roll. Not the best, but not the worst. Tomorrow I'm spending the day helping my brother paint his kitchen. Hopefully that may offset today a little. 1 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. It's a journey you'll have to take by looking inside yourself. You must write your destiny..." Maybe one day I will have the courage to post my OH HELLS NO picture too, big respect for that. I am like you both in the OH HELLS NO! portion of my life. RedPandaOne
Thanks for joining my challenge again, deftona! Again, I didn't track food yesterday. I had one too many small pieces of the chocolate chip cookies my mom made (she bakes them in a pan and then you cut out what you want). However, I did spend 8-9 hours painting yesterday. I was sore last night, but man oh man, am I sore this morning. And it's just my right side. Walking up or down stairs and sitting down and getting back up just hurts! I'm glad I quit before my brother could fire me because I don't think I could have handled another day. And after the horrible second coat I did in the bathroom I don't think he wants me back today anyway! He's such a perfectionist. I know how to paint, but jeez, you need to be a professional to get his approval, lol. Going to take the day and let my body rest. Looking at a townhouse, myself, in a about an hour. But then I'm just going to sit around and relax, maybe make a run to Target for some supplies. And back to tracking my food! 3 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. RedPandaOne
Good morning rebels. It's the first day of the challenge. And I already almost screwed it up. My alarm went off and I hit snooze and started to go back to bed. But then I remembered you guys and my fat pants. So I'm up and getting ready to hit the gym. Here are my calories and their breakdowns from yesterday. I went over, sort of. We had pulled pork for dinner last night and I tracked one cups worth. I didn't measure it, but from measuring in the past I know one cup is almost too much for me to eat. I think I was somewhere around half a cup. But, to be on the safe side I just did a full cup. I was having a hell of a time getting a clear screen grab, but I think you can get the point of it. Now off to the gym. 1 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. RedPandaOne
For about a month I was going really well. Then I went on vacation. That just messed everything up. And now that it's cold in the morning, that's just not helping. I'll trudge my way through it. It's either that, or going right after work, and I just never feel up to it after work. I'm also working 4 day work weeks until the end of the month, so some days (like today probably) I'll be staying late to get things done, and I'm just going to want to go straight home. 6am and I will become frenemies. 2 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. RedPandaOne
Alright, Day 1 is over. Week 1, Day 1 Made it to the gym, about 10 minutes later than I would have liked, but it didn't affect my workout at all. Just meant I had less time to dry off after showering. Did 30 minutes on the treadmill doing intervals. Food wise, I did pretty well today. Only "unhealthy" thing I had today was a whole wheat cookie bar a co-worker baked and brought in. She's a vegetarian who tries to not eat gluten so her baked goods are usually on the healthier side. And here on my daily graphs from sparkpeople and one from fitbit: I actually had to eat an apple and peanut butter after dinner to reach even 1,000 calories. I was still so hungry after dinner (half a fillet of cod, green beans, small slice of french bread, and a quarter cup of stouffers mac'n'cheese). So I tracked everything and saw I had only 900 or so calories today, so instead of a reese's cup I grabbed the apple and peanut butter. Win! 1 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. It's a journey you'll have to take by looking inside yourself. You must write your destiny..." RedPandaOne
Thanks, yea, "so far" being the key words. Hopefully I can keep this up for the entire challenge. Yesterday was still good. Tracked everything. No exercise. I was suppose to have a hair appointment last night so I skipped my aqua class. But when I showed up for my hair appointment the entire mall was evacuated due to a unknown smell making people sick. I stuck around for about half an hour, talked to the guys from the comic store, but then left. Showered and watched The Flash and Supernatural last night instead. Here are my totals from yesterday: I was too tired to figure out how to grab a screen shot from fitbit last night. I was over budget, but only by about 100 calories. I have it set for a 500 calories deficient, but I'm aiming for anywhere between 250 and 500, so really I was right on budget. 1 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. I'm sorry you had a horrible realization. sometimes they're the best ones, though. you got this one!Yay! You found me. I really should have put a link in my last challenge. I like that you're taking that moment as motivation, and that you have some friendly competition going on! I'm an artist, so the idea of swapping trade for trade as friendly competition sounds awesome. I should try that for one of the next challenges!Yea, it's really nice because now I'm accountable to someone other than myself. And once I finish (or start) my project, I know I'm not going to want to give it up, so it's more motivation for me to be the winner so I can keep it I've had a few wins already today. I really wanted a bagel after I got to work. It doesn't help we have a Dunkin Donuts just behind our building, and it's easy to walk there. I wanted it so bad that I started singing "I really want a bagel. Do you really want a bagel?" in my head. And yes, it was to the tune of "Do you want to build a snowman?" BUT, I didn't go get one. My second win comes from not having a mini oatmeal cookie. I mean, it's just slightly bigger than a quarter. I was like "this probably only has like, 50 calories in it." I checked the label, it has 110. Yikes. And since I'm going to Red Robin for dinner tonight with my mom, I knew I couldn't afford 110 calories. I've already tracked what I'm going to eat for dinner and have my day planned. I'll be right on budget I think. I even took a walk around the building after lunch to help make sure. 3 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. It's a journey you'll have to take by looking inside yourself.
