As exciting as this was, it led to some lack in motivation on certain days and a general fail towards the end where I felt I didn't deserve the score and sabotaged to make it more accurate. That's a completely normal thing to do right? right?! Aaaaanyway... I completed my third challenge with a grade C, and lost 4lbs, several centimetres (pretty much all on my boobs... thanks for that) and walked over 170 miles. My life quest again is to de-flab my fab self. I have to say that I did squeeze myself into a (ahem VERY stretchy) pair of size 10 skinny jeans the other day. They were snake skin pattern. oh yes. Goals for this challenge:Stick within calories: I attempted averaging out cals last week and it just led to over eating, so I'm going back to mfp lightly active, 1lb a week and adding exercises. I'm going to allow myself a bit of flexibility this time, so I'm allowed to go over cals six times over the course of the challenge, and four of those are allowed to be non-counting days. I'm really hoping this means I'll stick to it on the other days. Walking: I've given up counting up to Mordor as I realised it would take several years and I got sick of counting miles every time I walked. My journey to work usually involves a mile walk to the station, another mile at the other end and the same home (so 20 lots of mile walks). To pass this section I have to do at least 15 of these walks per working week. My PLP Challenge: So my version of this will be Press-ups, Plank and Dumbbell rows as follows:Week 1: 15 press ups, 35 sec plank, 15 dumbbell rowsWeek 2: 20, 40, 20Week 3: 25, 45, 25Week 4: 30, 50, 30Week 5: 35, 55, 35Week 6: 40, 60, 40and I have to do these EVERY SINGLE DAY! Weights and Cardio: to keep myself doing other stuffs, I have to do at least one cardio workout a week (usually zumba), and also have to do a full total body dumbbell workout at least twice a week. Scoring will be a lot vaguer this time round (sorry all point fans), so I'll do a summary each week and then scoring at the end. So much measuring and counting and it gets super tired but you've made awesome progress with your 4lb of boob fat. Turns out my social style is a driver, who knew? Ooh, that's why all the weight had fled there, all the sassing at zumba! Mmm, Bon Jovi... Will definitely get a pic of them I was a size 18-20 and just under 200lb at my heaviest, my old profile pics on MFP have a pic of me around then. Silmarilliane Posted November 24, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 24, 2014 So last week was really busy but managed to only get the bus twice, making 18 total walk sections so a pass there. Calories were all under except yesterday when I was doing a show so I didn’t count as my lunch was odds and sods of snacks. So that means I’ve had two of my six days allowed over (one of which being non counting) PLP (PPD-R) challenge is going well, mainly because I have a reminder set on my phone a few minutes after my alarm. I was on 20-40-20 last week and have started 25-45-25 this week. I had to take a small break after 30 seconds of the plank this morning, I think mainly due to tiredness (got home gone midnight last night after the show and was up at 6:45 this morning) Extra cardio – Zumba on Tuesday but nothing else specifically, though due to the show yesterday, I spent 8 hours in the hall on Saturday setting up set, lights, sound, chairs and techy stuff so I think I’ll let myself off not going for a half hour run! Silmarilliane Posted December 1, 2014 Author Report Share Posted December 1, 2014 So last week was ok to start with, but then I went out for work drinks on Thursday (my planned 'over cals' day), and the hangover Friday meant I ate too much that day as well. Then got the cold that's been surrounding me at work and rehearsals for the last month (I'm guessing the alcohol knocked down my immune system), so I pretty much ate too much the whole weekend. Not too much over on Saturday but Sunday I finished the day with half a tub of phish food... However, I carried on my PLP challenge successfully and did Zumba on Tuesday and had a run on Saturday. I also managed to run the whole five flights of stairs to the roof garden on Friday. Am contemplating switching up to maintennance calories while I'm down with the sickness as shifting a cold on low cals isn't fun. My excuse was that I have a cold and therefore should be eating more, but I don't think that should be more chocolate and cakes... On a brighter note I carried on with my plp challenge and also am doing well with the walking goal. Christmas times are so difficult to eat properly. I think I logged maybe 3 days in the last two weeks (after trying to respawn) One thing I've actually been successful at is the press-up/plank/dumbbell row challenge, which I did complete every single day and means that I've done 825 press-ups, 825 dumbbell rows and 1475 second (just under 24 minutes) of plank! Due to this last point, I'm not going to write the whole thing off as a complete failure (grade U) but will give myself an N (which is a real thing as I got it for a-level maths!) This means I'll move on to the next level but with my head hung in shame.
