35kg     x4 (that was supposed to be x6 so I didn't increase the weight for the next sets as I would normally do)

(I was still too sore and there was a sharp pain in every rep so the coach suggested I skipped bench)

 

 

Deadlifts

(at that point I started rounding my back so I did 65kgx2 for the coach to check my form)

While the starting point of the lift is correct it seems that I'm not tightening my shoulders and the moment I start lifting the weight my back goes. Also, I get out of breath when I'm doing deadlifts and having breakfast less than an hour before lifting didn't help as I got nauseous when the weight got heavier.

 

Overall, I had a bad day.

(First set of 33.5kg was supposed to be x6 and the set of 35kg was supposed to be x4. I think I pissed of my arms last Thursday... oh well...)

I was supposed to lift again on Sunday 23rd but I ended up at the hospital because of stomach pain instead. Anyway, it's getting better now. I also got a job offer from a place I wanted to go to work to which took away some of the stress.

Bench went better than last time. Not back to where it was but close enough and as long as it's moving up I'm happy  :)

This was a weird session regarding the deadlifts. I'm usually slow at the beginning but then after some point the weight just goes up. Now it was the other way around, it went up ok but the moment the barbell reached my thighs I felt almost stuck.

Bench went way worse than it has for a while. I've no idea what causes this fluctuation. I was still a bit sore from Tuesday. I think I may not be getting enough time to rest in between workouts. I'll try to start with lighter weights for a while and see what happens.

Pain started at this set and I lost tightness so the 4th rep felt really hard and didn't go for a 5th one.

Since the pain continued I did incline bench.

 

I'd never done incline bench before so the first set was to learn the form.

 

 

Incline bench

Mostly pain-free during the incline bench.

I felt too sleepy during the last sets. I had to put too much effort to keep my torso tight. Also, my form was off on the first sets because I my arms were in pain again.

No pain there as long as I had a specific ROM.

Are you taking anything for your joints?

 

You mean any kind of medication? No, I'm not. I'd rather not take any medication while I'm on medication for my stomach and that's going to be until Christmas. :( The coach also didn't suggest any. The suggestion was to switch to incline bench for a while. I thought that it can't hurt to try since I don't feel any pain doing it.

I always think that I will not do a single on squats/deadlifts unless I can possibly lift 5-10kg more than last time and every time I'm asked whether I want to try a single I say yes even if it's only for 1 or 1.5kg more than last time. :/
