Well I'm getting a late start this time but better late than never.

 

Main Quest:

Lose 10 lbs (4.5 kg)

 

Starting weight: 195 lbs (88.5 kg)

 

A= 10 lbs lost

B= 7 lbs lost

C= 5 lbs lost

D= 3 lbs lost

F= Less than 3 lbs lost

 

Quest 1:

Follow modified primal/paleo diet for at least 1 meal a day Follow cabbage soup diet

+3 WIS, +3 CHA

 

A= 7 primal/paleo meals per week           Pass/Fail

B= 6 primal/paleo meals per week

C= 5 primal/paleo meals per week

D= 4 primal/paleo meals per week

F= 3 primal/paleo meals per week or less

 

Bonus:

+1 WIS, +1 CHA for every week of 100% meal compliance

Light weight lifting at least 3 times per week

Glad to be here. I'm a little late, I didn't realize it had started yet. Lost track of time with everything that has been happening lately. One missed week isn't so bad though.


Back on the horse.


Current diet plan:


Modified primal/paleo meal to exclude all fruits and include dairy. Very vegetable filled but no root vegetables. High fat or high protein.


Goal: 40% of calories from protein or 50% of calories from (mostly) unprocessed fat sources. Cheese and butter being exclusions to the unprocessed bit.


Goal weight: 135 lbs (61.2 kg), Starting weight: 200 lbs (90.7 kg)

Current Weight: 196.6 lbs (89.2 kg)

Meditative thought of the day:

Sometimes you don't need to focus on removing the bad, but instead need to focus on adding good things to crowd out the bad.

 

Yesterday's meal:

Grilled chicken breast, creamed spinach...fried okra, a wheat roll, and blackberry cobbler.

Was doing pretty good till those last few.

 

Meal breakdown:

Protein- 18%

Fat- 29%

Carbs- 55%

 

 

That one was a bust.

Just weighed myself and realized I have gained quite a bit more than I realized putting my starting weight at 190 lbs, not 183 :/

This is disappointing.

Seven pounds is not good, but understandable considering what you went through last month.

 

Paleo and more veggies is good.

I have conditions that affect my social awareness.  If I am rude, tell me what I could do better.

Hopefully I can get it off this month. I'm hoping to stick with these goals better than I have in previous challenges and now that things are finally starting to calm down a bit hopefully I can. I also found a really good therapist which is helping both my husband and I a lot.

 

Yesterday's meal:

An entire head of cauliflower cooked in bacon grease and bacon.

 

Meal breakdown:

Protein: 22%

Fat: 67%

Carbs: 15%

Indeed it is. Stress levels have dropped so much now that there is no threat of homelessness. I hope I can better achieve this challenge goal now.

Thanks, Toxophilite, me too.

I'm calling yesterday's meal squashbrowns.

I took spaghetti squash, mixed it with spices, cheese, bacon, and eggs, and then fried it on the griddle in a little patty shape until it turned brown. It was very good.

For some reason today I weigh 192.3 lbs and this is very disappointing.

Squashbrowns for breakfast today too. They are just as good the next day. Maybe even tastier.

Me too. I'm very self critical. It's a work in progress and will take time to really "get it" but progress is good.
