THE HOLIDAYS ARE HERE!!

 

 

TIME TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE!!!

You may not be exactly....home for the holidays. Maybe you are traveling; maybe you have visitors. Maybe your work schedule has gone all haywire.

 

Either way, this is not exactly our best time for routines. The lifestyle rules of fitness, however, often lead to forcing some willpower while still having fun. Sometimes, that means isolating yourself; sometimes it's trying new things.

 

This week I encourage Monks to keep control of this aspect of your life while the crazy vacation chaos creeps into effect. Get away and get some exercise (....you know...so you can have seconds on elevensies. Duh.)

 

 

Best advice I can give you it to get away from those confounded relatives, hanging on the bell all day, never giving you a moment's peace.

 

Get out. Just get out. You need at least ONE adventure this holiday week. Make it a run. Make it a hike. Try a new trail. The good thing about adventures is you can just leave your front door, never knowing where your feet might take you. No need of gym space or equipment or Gi's. Just a bit of time, your feet, and a camera. ....Because you should post at least one pic of your adventure at which all us Monks may gawk.

 

 

So.

 

Pick up your walking stick, Monks. Go forth and make some memories!

Let's play a game! We are going to list things we are thankful for starting with sequential letters of the alphabet.

Be as creative or punny as you like with your letters. It's first come, first serve, so if you're stuck with "q" it's your own fault. :P

 

Feel free to go more than once, but I'd like to get AT LEAST 26 DIFFERENT Monk or potential Monks in of this so be kind and leave a number by your name and keep that same number the whole week.

I'm thankful for GAMES! Board games, card games, video games, run around barefoot outside games! The more players, the better. :)

 

You can unwind, laugh, and have loads of fun.

 I love onions. And not because they're like ogres and have layers, but because they add tons of flavor with little effort & no calories.
