First week+ recap. 

 

Missions:

1) Carbs < 100

    Of the last 9 days: 6 successful, 3 unsuccessful

2) Stronglifts 3x week

    Super good - I'm really liking the structure and being told exactly what I'm supposed to do (picture attached)

3) Sweets 1x week

    Pretty much correlates with the carbs. Friday/Sat/Sun were unhappy days mentally, ergo more sweets. 

 

Overall:

- Started 165, at 159 now. Probably quite a bit from decreased carb-water shenanigans.

- Can see quite a difference in the mirror - less bloating and some of my jeans are fitting again!!

- My legs are basically always sore between weights every other day and biking to class everyday, but it feels good and my knee hasn't given out yet. 

 

Suggestions I'm looking for:

- What should I do in terms of exercise on my off days? I've noticed that my ability to study productively is lower on the days I don't work out and that's bad since I have two finals next week. 

- Suggestions for sweets that aren't super carby. I stress eat like crazy when I'm studying, so maybe suggestions for that other than chewing a pack a day of gum (unsweetened of course).

Week 5 MiniChallenge!

 

Week 5: Preparations for Family day

You've slogged so hard and we're reaching the end of our campus tour, so it's drawing time for family day. We've been working so hard that some of us might even have neglected a family member or two, while orientating ourselves around Nerd Fitness Campus.  As the festive season is approaching, it's time to impress our friends and family with our new found skills and host them for an outing. 

 

Your task this week is to tidy up in anticipation of visiting family/friends or impending festivities. Pick one area (whether in your home, your office or your life) and get rid of the clutter.  Not only will you have more space to entertain, you'll have some more headspace to work with (you'll feel free).

 

Decluttering this week will earn you +1 WIS.

 

Finals is next week, so this weekend I decluttered my room and desk to facilitate better studying and studying with a friend (my desk can now fit two). 

I'm also working on "decluttering" my food supplies, aka getting down to basics for food, as raw and non-processed as possible.

I swim on the off days, but I guess it depends on what you have access to ;)  Starting with some good, heavy weight.  You are rockin it already!
