Dinner:

2.25 pickles and the remnants I ate from the frosting/ cake batter I was making.

Yeah, I failed my final and sort of drank a half a bottle of wine and didn't care what I ate. But I care now. I should have been better, crying in the tub does not justify my irresponsible behavior. Today will be better.

Yesterday was better, although my calories and protein intake was a little low (only 880, and 41 grams respectively) I just wasn't hungry so I didn't push it.

So I was reading that the people who have lost more than 70 lbs. and kept it off for 7 years or more all do at least one hour of exercise a day. So yesterday I aimed to move for an hour. I paced up and down my house, stretched, and did some calisthenics. I ate:

rye bread

So yesterday was pretty good, I spent like 3 hours cleaning (which was more physical activity than I usually get), so I'm counting that as a win. I also ate:

Macademia nuts

 

Supper:

Multigrain pasta

So, so far so good. I'm finding that having a supper that is heavy in carbs (like pasta or pizza) is keeping me satisfied, but I'm afraid it is also slowing my progress? I don't know maybe that is a change for the future, or maybe I'm worrying too much. Don't mess with a good thing right?

So yesterday was pretty much the same as my last entry, except that I added 1 1/2 cups of vegetables to my dinner, ans did some calisthenics instead of cleaning.

Yesterday was a bit worse than I would have liked, but I'm still happy wih it, because I kept m portions small.

Yesterday was Christmas baking day... and I messed up pretty bad

Ok, now the holidays are all over, and it is a new year. I'm ready to be different this year, better than the last. To that end, yesterday I ate thus:

 

Breakfast:

-apple

-2 oranges

 

Lunch:

-whey protein

-almond milk

-macademia nuts

-large carrot

 

Supper:

-multi-grain pasta

-tomato sauce

-1 onion

- seitan

 

A good start to the year I think.

I have to admit I'm not sure how many calories to eat a day. I know 1200 is the least you can eat, but I will be back at the gym soon and thought maybe I should increase it to 1400? I dunno, this may take some thought. Also I've been walking in this freezing weather... so that has to count for something.

So yesterday was a bit of a struggle, but it still went pretty well. I had:

Lunch:

-chickpea and avocado sandwich 

 

Snack:

-Whey protein and almond milk

 

Supper:

-Beef stew and french bread

-2 dark chocolates

 

Also I think I'm going to go with the 1400 calories, then I don't have to worry about exercise and I'm learning portion control rather than dieting.

Ok so yesterday I screwed up a bit. I had a two hour nap which meant I couldn't sleep last night, and I snacked on junk food. But I don't tink I went over my calories so at least there is that.

-Chips and chocolate chips.

Ok so yesterday was not bad. I did some lower body exercises (squats, lunges, leg lifts) and ate as so:

Lunch:

-Chickpea and avocado salad

 

Snack:

-Whey protein and almond milk

 

Supper:

-almond butter and jam sandwich 

-semi-sweet chocolate. 

 

Also I slept really well last night, so that makes a big difference.

It's easy for me to put off starting my current challenge, so I decided that the best thing to do was start logging here again. 

 

Breakfast:

kale, spinach, orange, berries, and almond milk

 

Lunch:

Burger, few chili fries and milkshake.

 

Supper:

-Grapes

 

So not so great today... definitely not paleo, but at least I only ate when I was hungry and stopped when I was full. Tomorrow will be better.

Ok so yesterday had good points and bad ones.

 

Breakfast:

apple

 

Snack:

fruit cup (nothing added, just fruit)

 

Lunch:

almond milk, berries, orange, kale and spinach. 

 

Supper:

2 homemade burgers, chips, potato salad, and bourbon. 

 

On the plus side I did not make cookies/ stop for junk food to 'celebrate' my course work being over. On the negative, I just ate the supper my in-laws made, I could have done better.
