Disclaimer/Warning: I forgot to mention in my intro that I'm a huge fan of Dwarf Fortress, so for those unlucky few (hopefully) who have no idea what all that was about, here you go. Don't worry, you can thank/curse me later, after you've had some fun. Speaking of, this will be the place to come join me as I have my very own personal sort of fun, mainly in building a stronger, better, dwarf.

 

11 Moonstone 2014:

 

My fortress currently has a rather lacklustre training area consisting of only a barbell and some weights. Until time and funds allow this to be remedied, I will have to stick to my previous regimen of bodyweight training (or choking zombies, as we dwarves prefer to call it). Since my surroundings are woefully underpopulated when it comes to zombies, however, I have instead chosen to follow the program found on http://www.startbodyweight.com/.

 

Since I can't get my spreadsheet to work (if anyone would care to help, I'm all ears, or rather, eyes), here's how it'll be laid out:

:) Good luck to you. It's not for everyone, I'll be the first to admit. Though should you get hooked, please don't blame me too much for destroying any free time you might have.

 

Just remember, losing is fun! Like your entire party getting killed by giant carp moments after embarking.

 

That's one thing lifting has in common, I suppose. Losing, as in failing a weight, is fun, in that it gives you a goal, something to crush and overcome.

*Resettling Gildgrizzle*

As I alluded to in my respawn post, I found myself too worn out/busy after work. I have found, however, that I have some free time (about 45 mins) before work in the morning.

This time had been spent watching news repeatedly, which wasn't really productive at all. So the past few weeks I have started doing one exercise each weekday, except monday. On Sundays I intend to do standard SS routines, like I did before.

Finally, ready to move on. 125 will probably kick my arse next time, but hey, losing is fun!

At this point, I pretty much realized there was no way I could clean 155 15 times, so decided to do 1 clean pr. 5 squats. Turns out I was right, I could barely clean 155 once, and had to dial back to 145.

Lots of messy fails at 145. I had about as much volume at that point as I've been having at 155, which strengthens my hypothesis that what I need is more reps at lower weights to work on that form.

Starting to not love cleans, though.
