When the TARDIS comes, I want to be ready.

Recommended Posts

So starving today!! I have oatmeal for breakfast, and lunch is just veggies and a couple of hard boiled eggs but I didn't cook them long enough so I was dying for protein.

I work as a sub in the school system - mostly preschool or special ed. The kids were crazy today, as it is the last day before holiday break. I wear an activity monitor for weight watchers and I met my goal way before the work day was over. While at recess I walked laps and later did 20 jumping jacks.

Just crammed dinner down my throat so gonna work out in a half hour. Yay! Today I shall do two BBWW circuits. I think. Yeah, pretty sure.

Here's a shake I found that's tastes really good, I double the recipe then pour it into two "water bottles", toss em in the fridge and one will keep me going until lunch easy... you can adjust based on your needs, but it's super easy to make.

1 Cup Plain, full fat yogurt

     1 Cup coconut milk

     1 banana

     handful of strawberries

     smalll bunch of kale

     2 tablespoons milled flax seed

1 serving whey powder (I use Vanilla)

Water to thin the shake out (Optional)

The numbers as I drink it are:

925 Calories (mostly coconut milk, can lower and replace with water if needed)

49 Grams Fat (Again the milk)

54 Grams Carbs (Mostly the fruit)

37.3 Grams Protein (Mostly the protein powder)

okay, so I've been thinking about what else my community has to offer beyond what I have already mentioned in this thread.

My sister has a membership to a gym where I can get a Guest Pass and they have tons of equipment plus a pool. They just opened a Sky Zone here which is a trampoline facility. Geocaching is always an option. There is a rock climbing gym downtown that we used to go to, and I even have my own gear. there is a decent playground just a couple miles from my house, that I might be able to figure out an obstacle course for. There is a roller rink on the block that I live on, and I have my own skates.

I'm very lucky to live where I do and have a ton of options. I'm very lucky to live where I do and have a ton of options.

Eta: scale says 173 tonight, post workout.

I looked at the advanced BBWW and had hubby do that for legs, not upper body - he hurt his elbow a few weeks ago so no dips, pullups, etc.

Screw waiting. I'm gonna check out some kettle bells this weekend.

Did a circuit. Working on making my squats and lunges deep and correct.

Went to a party. Ate the whole world. :)

That would explain this sudden floating in space thing I got going on...

I am loving your thread! You said above you feel like you're behind, but I totally agree with everyone - you are running laps around everyone on the couch, as well as the AU you who is sitting on a couch.

I am inspired by the way you try a lot of new things! See you around!

Thanks Tzippi!

I never did get to try kettle bells this weekend. Maybe I will wait till payday (26th) so I can buy, not just try.

Today I have almost zero soreness. That means I will increase from 1 circuit of BBWW to 2. Picking up my two week yoga pass today, as I didn't get to it yet.

Spent a lot of time reading about butt wink, etc, for squats. I feel like I am being safe.

I had such a good week of follow through I feel like I deserve a new comic book. I'm working my way through The Unwritten.

Update: picked up my yoga pass. Also got a new eye exam so I can get contacts for sweaty pursuits. Also, eating like a beast. Need to slow that the fuck down.

Working on my quest goals for the next little bit.

Master goal: conscious, deliberate, and enthusiastic participation in life

Goal 1: movement

Body weight workout 3 days a week

Bonus - less ordinary workouts (swim, rock climb) twice during challenge cycle, to switch it up

Goal 2: intake

Stick within weight watchers points

Improve quality of food in those points

Bonus - h2O consumption

Goal 3: badassery

Learn to strip, clean, and reassemble my weapon without assistance

Bonus - range time once during challenge cycle

Goal 4: freedom

Get a new spending plan in place to eliminate debt and create options

Bonus - have a financial conversation weekly with spouse without spazzing

Need to figure out how to rate and award points for these.

Today I started yoga, and did what worked with my schedule. Unfortunately that was the more challenging Hot class. It was very fast paced and lasted 90 minutes.

The good news? I managed to do about one quarter to one third of the moves. I also found that just this past week's worth of bodyweight training made me much more stable on some moves such as squats. So I can already see how one skill set will feed into the next.

For some strange reason, it was easier to keep up with the moves once I took off my glasses. I think it made me listen better to the instructor, instead of looking around to see what I was supposed to be doing. I am extremely nearsighted.

I wouldn't say that it was "fun", but I get the feeling that it could be. & I have a whole new respect for people who do yoga consistently, and well. I am going to take the Earth class tomorrow. We will see how that goes & I believe that the next opportunity I will have will be Friday.

I haven't been that sweaty in ages!!

I also avoided the temptation to reward myself with food, and had a reasonable lunch which I tracked honestly in my weight Watchers app. Yay me!

for the last day or so, I have been thinking about how I always feel like I deserve some big reward. It's kind of silly, to be that person who just barely does anything due to low ability level, and then expects to have earned a double cheeseburger in the process. I've decided to start looking at fitness as a household chore. There are times that I enjoy doing laundry, and times that I hate doing dishes, but I very rarely expect to be rewarded for doing them. They are just part of living a healthy adult life. It sounds a little less than cheerful to think of fitness as a chore, but I think that putting it in that category will keep me from feeling as though I need some sort of gold star, preferably edible, every time I do anything active.

Awesome! I just did a workout in an attempt to get rid of a sugar headache. (DDR for 20 min. + lifting backpack with books inside and my two pound barbells held in one hand to make them four) I'm hoping the inch I've gained is from water weight.

You know you can reward yourself in other ways than just food, yeah?

Food is my favorite. :). Also, food is love. Silly rabbit.

Overall, I lead a very self-indulgent lifestyle. It is hard to isolate something as a reward when you pretty much get everything you want all the time anyway.

Think of the fitness itself as the reward. When you do healthy things you are rewarding yourself because you are going to feel so much better.

Much better than taking a small part, such as a tooth, from each one and making jewelry out of them! :D
