Challenge warmup

 

Introduction: I’m Klearose, a nontraditional student who just came out of my first weight lifting class to fulfill a P.E. requirement. All I can say is BAM!! Now all I can think about is Dumbbells, benches, and the burn of that last lift. We lifted 3 times a week with 3 different workouts. I’m Mid-aged single mom who’s been through enough of my own health wringers to say “been there done thatâ€. Because I’m Swedish decent I’m calling myself Viking. Although it takes a lot to make me mad, when I am, I turn Zerker. So Viking Berserker it will be.

Main Quest:  Warm up and get ready for my first 6 week challenge.

 

Quest 1: Set up an efficient lifting area at home for the holidays.

 

Quest 2: Alternate two workouts and lift at least 5 times per week during the winter school break.

 

Quest 3: Drink water not soda pop.

 

Life Quest: Adopt Strength in my life to counter balance my weaknesses. For example no pain in my lower back when doing household chores. Balance and strength in my feet and ankles to counter the neuropathy and planner factious. More strength to lift and move the large ceramic sculptures I create.

 

Motivation: I want to walk without hobbling. I want to participate in life, not watch it go by.

 

Reward:  A sliding scale depending on how many weeks. A=+2, B=+1, C=.5 points to distribute per week. (No more than .5 points in any one area per week.

Grade:  A= no work outs missed, B= one work out misses, C= two work outs missed.
