Strength Training and MFP

So today I decided to start tracking things in my fitness pal


Little confused, because if you enter weights in the strength training section it gives you no cals burnt or anything like that


But if you enter strength training in the cardio section it just asks for how long you trained and gives you a flat calorie burn that takes no account of weight, sets and reps.


I can't be the first person looking to strength train who has encountered this, so how did you guys get around it to more accurately log your work?

I have a Polar heart rate monitor that I use for calories burned. It seems fairly accurate from the data I collected last year. It runs quite a bit higher than what MFP gives for calories burned for weight training. I just manually adjust the number burned for recording purposes, though right now I am not tracking all my intake.
