Main Quest: 

 

To lose 25 lbs and become stronger for karate.

 

SMART Quests:

  • Eat lunch at my desk each workday and use my actual lunchtime to take a walk outside, even during our cruel Chicago winters.
  • Improve my kata speed and balance. MOAR SQUATS!
  • Plan dinners at home at least 24 hours ahead of time so I'm not looking at a pathetically empty pantry and resign myself to a fast food dinner that I will regret whilst eating. 
Life Quest:

 

Become less introverted, save more money and travel more.

 

Motivation:

 

Since May of 2014, I've started learning that I can indeed change who I am as long as I'm doing it for myself, because - as I have never believed in the past - I am worth it.

Minor update:

 

Got a .5 mi in during my lunch dodging all the holiday shoppers. Not much, but progress is progress.

Lift day yesterday:

- Squats: 5 sets of 5 @ 125lb

- Deadlifts: 5 sets of 5 @ 135lb

- Overhead press: 5 sets of 5, Olympic bar only

Great start!  Your lunch and dinner goals are very clear.  Can you clarify your speed/squat goal and your life goal?  Something like "do squats x times per week"  or "go out to x social events during the challenge"?

 

The next official challenge starts Jan 5th.  Keep posting here if you want to though.

Behave yourself, badly if necessary.
