Wednesday. Morning pullups. Evening mid range OHP. A little side delts with abs until I was drowsy. Took it easy on my knee, but went through the frontsquat motion anyway.

Hi! 

 

Letting my knee rest rolled into a worldwar in a social computer game I play which rolled into being stuck on a toilet for the last 13 hours after I ate lunch yesterday. 

 

I'm dying to get some lifting done. But right now I am just dying. Called in sick to work.

 

Next is rows followed by bench. Hopefully I can do tomorrow.

Yikes. Feel better. You think it was the food you ate or a flu thing? Usually if it's food you start feeling better sooner than 13 hours...

Closing in on 20 hours, the verdict is still undecided on food vs flu. Pre-sickness material still exiting. I hope I am just rejecting some particular thing I ate. 

 

I had to stop drinking water for a little while, to give myself a break. While in a dehydrated state, I looked in the mirror and I looked like I was in shape! Or, at least, more so than I ever did before. 

 

I just had a bowl of cereal, my first meal in 21 hours. I wait in anticipation. Chocolate frosted flakes.

How do you feel today? Better?

It's weird a bunch of us here have been passing around some sort of flu or something. At least a half dozen of us have left work early with a sudden onset of nausea and vomiting in the past two weeks, lasting ~12 hours or so (mine was last week Thursday). FUN TIMES.

i have been out of the cereal game for so long i didn't even know chocolate frosted flakes existed! yum.

 

sounds like the flu, buddy. have you taken your temp? hopefully 48 hours you start to see some improvement.

OK so it started with a day off or two with the knee to blame. 

 

Then there was the horrible names I was called more so privately than the public discussion. That sapped the will to stay on track. 

 

Then the epic food poisoning, which kept me awake for over 50 hours straight, and out of work for that whole week aside from Monday. I ate 5 bags of cereal and a gallon of almond milk, and many scoops of whey, and I still lost 6lbs.

Ive been in recover and motivation-finding mode since. 

 

Two weeks out of it, time to get it going again... 

 

I did a few sets of rows and pullups the other day.  Not worth logging.

 

Ive been eating and eating and not tracking. I feel better now and gained back the weight that got sucked out of me, but I'm not feeling very strong. 

 

By doing those bullshit rows the other day, I get to rotate to bench press! Specifically, 1 am in the morning bench press. I want to do more, but I am restraining myself. If I really want to do more, I shouldn't wait until 1 am. 

 

 

Thursday. Return from the dead bench press day! Ramped up with 10 reps until I got forced down to 7 reps. Done! 

 

BW = 190

Sunday. Remembered that I'm back from the dead; deadlift and OHP. Only a little strength missing. Food (asshole amount), GoT, and the Revenant afterwards.

Monday. Starting up daily pullups again. Did some leg curls at work. Paused barbell rows went heavier than ever. I'll feel that tomorrow.

Squeezing in volume where I can. Most of my calories come from lunch, so it would be ideal to do something around that time. I don't have a good full rom hamstring exercise at home considering the condition of my knee. I am hoping the tension will move things into the right place. My right knee has felt weak on the valgus-side and clicky on the outside.

Wednesday. Allowing myself to fail time management enough to suck at morning pullups. Hit some abs before lunch. I planned on doubling up with bench and deadlifts, but ended up only benching at 1am. Bodyweight keeps going down. I think my leg muscles are shrinking.

Can you not do lower body because of your knee? Or are you just being lazy?
