Been doing this fitness thing on and off for roughly 3 years now. Got myself down close to my goal weight of 200 (really hit 225). Fell apart on my goals. Went from a job where I was able to work out consistantly and eat great. Left that job to go back to an old job where I stress ate, worked WAY to many hours in the week, and couldn't make it to the gym ever. I recently (october) left the crazy job to go back to the OTHER job (I know it gets confusing) been there for about 3 months now and I have a bet going with my new (old yes it is the same boss that I worked for before) boss. We are both doing Paleo in a mission to drop weight. The first one to break paleo gives the other person $50

The main piece to this challenge is that within the next 6 months I plan on enlisting in the United States Air Force. I am currently at 250lbs and I need to be below 208. I need to atleast have the Liberator standards under my belt. I plan on getting to Warhawk before I enlist but Liberator is where I am starting. 

 

Males Run (2 miles) Run (1.5 mile) Push-ups Sit-ups Pull-ups Liberator (minimum graduation standard) 16:45 min. 11:57 min. 45 50 0 Thunderbolt (honor graduate standard) 14:15 min. 8:55 min. 62 70 4 Warhawk (extraordinary - highest standard) 13:30 min. 8:08 min. 75 80 10

 

 

 

Fitness Goals:

1. Run 5K in under 30 miutes

2. Complete 5 pullups in 1 set

3.25 Pushups in 1 set

4.60 situps in 1 set

 

Life Goals: 

1: Put 350 into personal savings (took a paycut to go to a lower stress job, need to rebuild the savings account,)

2: Read something printed at least 30 minutes every day, does not matter what it is as long as it is NOT on the internet.

I have started a instagram account to photograph everything that goes into my mouth. I will be taking these pics (hopefully) every day to document what I eat. Also I took some before pictures. Pictures will be taken on Sundays so that I can see a week by week change (if there is one). I will be attempting all of my fitness goals tomorrow to get a baseline of where I am.

Pwallace! Good to see you dude! Welcome to the Monk's guild! Bummer you couldn't make the Spartan at Fenway this year, it was a bit crazier than last years!

How are you building up to get those push-ups and pull ups? Any progression/training you have in mind? PLP might work well for the progression, though it's a bit time intensive.

Otherwise your goals look great!

Well I can get roughly 8-10 pushups right now. And I have a 20lbs weight vest. Figured I would wear the weight vest, did as many pushups as possible and let my  body progress from there. that way when I take the vest off, it will feel easier to do regurlar pushpus. I am hoping to advance to decline pushups with my weight vest on "soon"

Yeah way to icy and cold to run this am so going to do that after work at the gym. Did do a fitness test for push-ups pull-ups a sit-ups though so here thy are

Push-ups= 10

Pull-ups= 1/4

Still getting I've this cold and still some snotyness hanging around.

Agh here we go. All snuggled up in bed after a long day or work and puppy visiting. Got myself up and did my fitness evaluation this am.

Here's how it went:

Push-ups= 10

Pull-ups= 1/4

Sit-ups= 10 (could have done more but had a coughing fit)

{I did not run this am because it was too cold and narsty out.

* I did get my reading goal completed at work, actually went over my much break time due to reading. Hehe oops*

Got out of work around 5:30, gave a coworker a ride home then off to the feeders house to visit and interact with the puppy! [quick interjection for story time. Got a text from the breeder that there had been a screw up with the genders of the puppies and the one we had picked out was female. We had made the decision that we wanted a male, so we went back up to pick one out.] we picked out an all white male and will be naming him Eidolon (Greek for ghost) as In john snow's direwolf. Okay sleep time. Will post pic of puppy tomorrow and will hopefully figure out how to post from my iPhone soon.

Well, as someone who's had to explore a lot of anaerobic forms of conditioning, you have all kinds of options for working indoors. Given that your weight's running high right now, I could see how sprinting in place or burpees wouldn't be so fun, but you can modify those and go up and down from there.

 

Just food for thought.

okay I can post on my home computer so that is good. Maybe it is just my work computer being stupid.

 

Hit the Gym today (actually went and got a membership) workout was good,"social" experiences not so much.

Ran on the treadmill

used the rowing machine,

used the stair climber. 

All kicked my ass but it felt amazing to get back to it AND I wore my 20lbs weight vest the whole time I worked out so that was good. tired and time for bed hopefully will post more here tomorrow if work comp will let me

So did not get to the gym this morning :neglected:  too snowy and nasty. did get to work only 5 minutes late due to slipperyness and car not starting. To supliment no gym today, I am wearing my weightvest UNDER my work clothes and will be for the remainder of the day. Figured working on my endurance would be good

there is a muscle that runs from my neck down into my back that is angry at me becasue it is holding alot of the weight, learning to relax and let my body be  fluid to try and get rid of the knot without taking off the vest

Hey I can post norman now! sorry the text box wasn't coming up before. Anywho on the weight vest front. I am exhausted! I have been wearing this extra 20lbs for my entire work day with the exception of 10 minutes at lunch. i am looking forward to taking this thing off and relaxing when I get home. good for the endurance though

YEA Haikoo passed me a note in class! haha

Okay quick update then its off to work at Gamestop (thats right I work at a bank and at a videogame store whats not to love)

Weighted myself this morning and I am at 244! considering on wednesday I was at 257 that is huge! how much is water weight IDK but I will take it! will do a full recap later. Now its time to get to a save point in Assasin's Creed Rougue and off to sell videogames!
