Viking
Yesterday was the first day my eating really slipped... had some chips and dip. And boy did I pay for it with a bellyache. However, not gonna hate myself. Gonna stay positive and keep trucking. All that is gold does not glitter. Not all those who wander are lost. The old that is strong does not wither. ETFnerd
Gonna stay positive and keep trucking. There are some people that you just can't keep down. Everybody ebbs and flows. For some, the ebb prevents the flow. Seems like that's not you. :-) i don't care what u think of me. unless u think i'm awesome. in which case u're right. SpiralGalaxy
Congratulations, that's wonderful! (Except the bit about the snow tires, but it sounds like all your strength training paid off!) Viking
At least I get to honestly say my wedding was uphill in the snow both ways... ahem. And here are some pictures - one proof of my Pike's Peak pushup challenge. I got about a mile below the summit because the last bit of road was shutdown due to ice. Sucked, but it was beyond my control. So I got out and did them as high as I could. But to make up for it, I ended up climbing a couple of the smaller peaks we could get to from the road. And finally, what a wedding on a snowy hill may look like. All that is gold does not glitter. Not all those who wander are lost. The old that is strong does not wither. Viking
So today was ...frustrating. The trainer weighed me and I've gained weight... again. The workout was good and I worked really hard, but still, the absolute lack of weight loss is so frustrating. I'm starting to realize that the occasional crushing disappointment and waves of despair about the weightloss are probably just part of the process - something I'm going to experience but I don't have to let it rule me and drive me to eating junk. So yeah. Dark night but at least I have some perspective. All that is gold does not glitter. Not all those who wander are lost. The old that is strong does not wither. Viking
Thought I would update as to my lifts, since that at least was positive. Did some heavy lifting last night: 4x/8-12 reps/50 lbs. chest press (25 lb dumbbell in each hand) 4x/8-10 reps/30 lb. dumbbell dorsal row 4x/15 reps/25 lb. cable rotation 4x / 20 reps / 15.5 lb. ball slams All that is gold does not glitter.
