Restarting, again!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

So I haven't been around for ages, went off the radar, and gained 30lbs, which is horrendous considering I had so much weight to lose in the first place! I'm looking at approx 100lbs now.

The good news is, I've been using myfitnesspal for the past 2 weeks and have lost 3lbs :) by basically logging my calories and exercising 3 times a week. Nothing major, small changes. As this is the 3rd time that I'm doing this, I realised that something had to change.

I'm focusing on very small goals.i.e

- Log all food, good or not so good.

- Stick to 1860 cals a day

- Stationary bike 30min 3 X week (bonus: kickboxing 45min once a week)

- No fast food (currently on day 27 - woohoo!!

I've learnt that it isn't about motivation like I used to think. I have motivation, but what I need is commitment. Commitment to change my lifestyle one step at a time. Its not so much about the weight loss than it is about making positive changes in my life which inevitably bring weight loss as a consequence. If I focus too much on the scales, then it will just put me off as there is so much weight to lose.

I'm too late for the Jan challenge, but my challenge to myself without points or levels is the above; to continue these positive changes :) and to literally take it one day at a time.
