Sounds like an intense box! Welcome to the club where we learn to love the pain...

For the first time in ages, we finally had an odd object carry!

5 RFT

400m medball carry

12 push press (85 lb)

12 box jumps (24 inch)

12 sumo dead lift high pull (85 lb)

Our coach for my class set a time cap of 35 minutes, and I finished in 32:56.

Huzzah!

Wednesday was a "death by rowing" WOD

5 rounds, 1:40 row, 0:20 rest

2 minutes rest

4 rounds, 1:40 row, 0:20 rest

Record calories each round

That sounds positively brutal. I may have to give that a try.

Saturday, my box surprised my class by having us all meet on the field at a park in our town. Then we did:

AMRAP 21

54m shuttle sprints

21 kettlebell swing

15 push-ups

9 burpees

Tough to keep a decent sprint after that first round...

If you're gonna make me do shuttle sprints, there better be some KB swings and bodyweight exercises to balance it out!

today:

"9/11"

2001 m row

then 11 of each:

  • box jumps
  • heavy thrusters
  • chest-2-bar burpees
  • power cleans
  • heavy kb swings
  • toes-2-bar
  • dead lifts
  • push jerks

2001m row

Just wanted someplace to share that the madhouse that is my new box has a Gymnastics class today, which includes doing Toes to bar to The Police's "Roxanne" and Sally pullups. Watch that last part, it's not squats. It's pullups. To Sally. Which means you gotta spend time at the top.

And that's just part of the warmup.

How does T2B to Roxanne go?

Do a rep every time Sting says the word Roxanne. It starts of pretty slow but it's a nightmare by the end of the song B)

Solely because I'll never get the chance to post in here ever again:

This was the WOD I had to do (in a team of four) after about 9 hours of Rucking through Boston.  And then after that there was more rucking.  But this was the WOD we did early Saturday morning.  Big Huey was also a giant Tractor tire.  And we only needed to do 100 flips, because I think they realized 200 flips per team would have taken too long.

We did Helen yesterday. My swing sets were a mess and almost all pullups were done as singles for a 16:19 score, but I'll be damned if I didn't Rx that! Previous score was 14:47 with a 16kg KB so a +1,5' doesn't sound that bad

After that 3 month hiatus, I'm back at it! I'll be posting most of my WODs on my challenge, but in honor of getting back on the horse, here's yesterday's work:

Klokov snatch warm up

3x3 snatch drops

3x3 tall squat snatches

10 minutes EMOM

Floor pulls (or legless rope climbs) on odd minutes

Rest on even minutes

3RFT

21 kcal row

15 bar-over-burpees

9 squat snatches

Even after a few months off, I can still do legless rope climbs :D damn are my hands tender today...
