I have always fought alone. But one man cannot defeat the templar order, so I have joined with my fellow assassins. Together, we will cleanse the corruption from the holy city of Rome. Together, we will forge the Brotherhood.

If the title and opening lines didn't give it away, and since this will be my first Assassin Challenge (did my first with the Rangers), this challenge is going to be Assassins Creed themed. Based off of the pure Epicness that is Ezio Auditore.

 

A little backstory, this will be my 2nd official challenge, and since I ended up unwillingly quitting my first one (went to teach at a summer camp without internet) I am going to dominate this one. 

 

So far my workout are primarily strength based, trying to loose fat while building up muscle slowly. Mainly weighted pullups, shoulder presses/ handstand pushups, deadlifts, & squats. I've also begun training for the NC Rugged Maniac which is May 16th so I've been trying to get my 5k time down and jog a little bit more. Anyway here are my goals: 

 

An Assassin must be able to move fluidly though his surrounding, & let no objects stand in his way: To do this he cannot be caring around any extra weight.

 Therefore my first goal is to drop 6lbs and/or 2% body fat. (+ 3 CON)

 

An Assassin must be agile with excellent balance and strong stability. Be able to climb and hold his position for long periods of time.

So my second goal is to practice handstand training at least 3 times per week, and I will know I've succeeded in this goal if I am able to hold a free standing handstand for at least 30sec at the end of the challenge. (+4 DEX, +1 END)

 

An Assassin must be strong, determined that his way is the truth and motivated to carry out his plan.

Thus my third goal is to maintain my strength training workouts 3x per week, while also maintaining an average weekly step total of 10,000 per day. [as measured by my Fitbit] (+3 STR, +2 STA)

 

An Assassin's resources are sometimes his best allies. Money weights us all to the ground so to be truly free he must build up his resources and lessen his burdened of debt.

Consequently my final life goal is to pay off extra $500 towards my student loans or $300 per month. (+ 3 WIS)

 

I will begin posting my workouts and some other stuff later today. I am also participating and an awesome new RPG/ accountabuddys group: The Assault on Brightwater, which should be some extra motivation and help towards achieving my goals and  I'll let you guys know how its going once we start!

Hi Ryuu! This is my first challenge as an assassin as well. :D I'm also trying to get stronger and maybe even do a handstand eventually!

I'm also trying to be more involved with the awesome people here on the forum, because working alone is haarrdd.

Hey guys, this is my second challenge with the assassins and I'm on the same page as Ryuu1011. We do need a strong brotherhood to fight the Templars, and this is the place to be if you want to do just that. If I may make a suggestion go to Cobaltswords threads he is also with us. You guys are really cool and I can't wait to see you guys succeed with us.

It looks like a lot of people are working on handstands this challenge!  Wow for the 30 second goal!  I'm just aiming for a much more modest 10 second hold.

I am doing the first time Assassin as well. I also started playing Assassins Creed this winter and have been enjoying it.  Not working on handstands currently but I like the idea of the brotherhood.  I will be following along offering encouragement along the way!

Love the games, whenever I play them it makes me want to do parkour! Yay encouragement :)

Dig the handstand ambition, I don't think my arm strength is sufficient, but I definitely want to see you get there and may give it a try myself, soon!

Yeah give it a try! There are tons of awesome handstand progression tutorials out there I'm currently using is this one and its working well so far :)

Thanks!! Most likely with walking & adjustments (since I can't exactly hold one right now all except for against the wall) but you know what they say "shoot for the moon, and if you miss you'll still land among the stars" :)

Yeah I've been working on handstands for a while, here's hoping I make it this time :) Using this handstand tutorial for the past few day and I really like it so far :D

Hahaha, yep, I found that GMB one as well :D I'm starting with hollow body holds, because I've realised how pathetically small and weak my muscles are currently. :P I've tried to skip steps before and it's all ended with me just giving up. NOT THIS TIME!

Subbing for handstands! :D 30 seconds is a tall order, where are you at them now?

Thanks Mad Hatter :) 30 seconds may be a little ambitious as I can't hold a freestanding handstand at all right now >_< but go big or go home right!? I am currently working on a strength & dexterity progression and the flexibility in my wrists. I will post my full routine later once the challenge starts :D

30 secs is a perfectly good ambition, just make sure you don't fail/suffer lowered morale because you only got 25 secs lol. Do NOT lower your ambition, just plz judge yourself fairly!

GUYS! I know its a little before the start of the challenge but I was practicing my handstands today and I managed to hold a freestanding one for a few seconds with complete control (i.e. I came down gracefully not falling on my back like usual) So happy! Dance Party.

Woo Hoo!! Let's get that handstand! I will be working on it too. Will be checking out that progression website suggestion. Like the goals and looking forward to following your progress. Am ready to join the Brotherhood, cleanse Rome, and save Brightwater! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE!?!
